ws6transam 05-13-2004, 09:51 PM It's hard to have a modfest without cars.
It looks like there plenty of volunteers that would like to drop by and help work on cars, and I GREATLY appreciate your generosity!
However, a simple, cruel fact remains that we have only one viable project, and that's a standard brake job.
So, I am posponing the event until further notice. Perhaps we can hold it in the fall, closer to M9. I might even have my new engine ready for dropping in by that time.
Sorry folks. I must apologise for having to postpone it, but it looks like I have no other choice. :(
JasonD 05-13-2004, 10:02 PM I know I need my car worked on, but I will be out of town this weekend.
Kinda funny sounding statement, actually.
We can all try again later in the year, good idea.
JoeliusZ28 05-13-2004, 10:11 PM I would love to get a set of headers installed on my car at an event like this, because there is probably no way I could do it myself... but the fact is, I still have a car payment, and no extra money for headers :(
Anybody got an extra set laying around they are willing to donate?:p I have a set of SS wheels I could trade;)
MISOMWS6 05-13-2004, 10:20 PM Good idea!!! I wish my warranty was up by then so I could let loose on my car:D But I still want to do springs and shocks on my car so hopefully i'll have the parts waiting to be installed by then. Thanks again for all you are willing to do for some fellow hot rodders:bow:

PhantomTA 05-13-2004, 10:26 PM If someone wants to detail my car, while i sit and drink beer.. im in..
Timberwolf 05-13-2004, 10:30 PM I still need to stick the ls1 back in the 'vert. Just figured it would be too busy around there and this wasn't really a "mod."
jm8881 05-13-2004, 10:45 PM I need to install a transgo shiftkit, count me in if it happens soon, like in the next month or so. C'mon guys, this sounds like a good time, go spend some money on your next mod and bring it!
Red5.7 05-14-2004, 03:38 AM Sounds interesting, missed the original post. I might be in for a reschedule. Was there going to be a welder? Because at some point down the road I am going to need some subframe connectors welded in.
Jay-Roll 05-14-2004, 04:48 PM Need to install a 3.42 rear, vig. converter,trans-go shift kit, and I think that's it on my buddies car. Need to install Jet Hot LT's on my car. I'm in to help out. I didn't think my car would be back by now so I didn't really say anything until now I guess. I think I offered my services to help, but if I didn't I am now.:) It would make things much easier to have a bunch of hands to help out. Not to mention all the mixed experience offering advice. Let me know the new date I'll have 2 cars and 2-4 extra guys to help out. Ones a certified mechanic.
notstock4long 05-15-2004, 09:52 PM HAHAHAHAHAH...I am glad to see this. I got stuck working today, and I told my boss I had a car thing planned (even though I wasn't gonna go since I felt like **** from the night before, but he is friends with my parents, so I told them it got cancelled. And now it did, so I am clear. YES
Anyway, I will make it to the next one, hopefully in the formula.
And yes, I am drinking now too:o
Once my own cars are done I'll start showing up at these things.
QuickSilver02 05-16-2004, 10:49 AM I tried posting to say I'd be out with all the stuff I need done to my car, but my computer sucks and doesn't always let me log in. Besides, I still gotta get my new heads before I go ahead with the rest of the mods. Oh well. Maybe next time.
