Whats your Fav. kill ever street or track?

Just intrested in what you've raced and have been very happy about or was just funny :D

Last year, I raced a Monte Carlo SS on Rt.1 in Philly. It was the old school type, prolly mid 80s, it originally came with a HO 305 I think. We both had passengers, his was his thin girlfriend/wife and my friend Chris was with me (he is prolly 270 lbs).
We were stopped at a red light and words were said and then we were off on green. We both spun really bad and I caught first and started to pull on him. He made up some ground and put his front bumper at my door but once I was nearing the end of second I was putting some distance between us. We took it up to around 100 mph or so and at the end I had about 1 full car on him. I wanted to chat with him and find out what he was running cause it was definately not a 305 ci. But he turned off and did not follow. I did throw a thumbs up which was cool .

I was smiling for a while after that.

My favorite race was in 98. I had just gotten my first Supra TT 6spd. It was about 11pm and my brother and I were cruising around looking for a race. At the time I didn't know anything about my car except that it felt pretty fast for 320 hp (we didn't know the car was underrated). It had beaten my bro's stock 96 Vette (lt1) handily...so we were looking for a good test. As we are merging onto hwy 26 I notice c5 headlights in my rearview. As soon as I'm on the hwy, the c5 floors it and flys by me....then slows. In turn, I fly by him and slow down. He comes along side at about 60 mph. We both punch it and stay nearly side by side up to about 130....with me pulling ever so slightly. By 145 I'm a half car to a car ahead and shut her down. We both pull up on shoulder to chat. The dude in the C5 had only had it a month and it was his first race. Bone stock 98 m6. Best race I've had....

It was a quick benz though. I love killing european cars

probably this modded 94/95 Cobra, The car had some good mods on it, what made it a great kill was that he was a big sh!t talker

I beat 3 mustangs on my first 3 runs at the track a few weeks ago.
but my fourth run I was lined up against a 69 or 70 mach 1. this thing sounded awesome, had to have a pretty healthy cam, and it had drag slicks. I could tell it had alot of work done to it. I expected to get thoroughly destroyed while watching him chalk one up for the ford folks.
We both had the same r/t at .186. he had an excellent start and pulled away rather quickly. I figured I was beat pretty good. All of the sudden he stopped gaining, and I started reeling him in! I didn't have enough time to catch him, but I kept up with him pretty good. times were...

I was very happy after that run, even though it wasn't my best, I was glad I didn't get blown away by this guy.


another interesting run that was with my car but without me driving it. my buddy was racing vs a mid 90s NA supra that same night. off the line he wasted the tires. I swear you could see the smoke rolling off them as he was accelerating for nearly the first 1/8th mile. I believe his 60' time was a 2.5. by then the supra had already gotten traction and pulled ahead by a good amount. but when he did hook, the car rocketed forward, caught the supra, and just passed him as they went through the traps. I think my friend ran a 14.7@101. don't remember what the supra ran. probably about 15 @ 90 or somewhere around there. it was funny to watch though, even though I had to get new tires afterwards. oh well I was getting new wheels anyways ;)

My favorite race was my 1997 Z28 (M6, Loudmouth, K&N FIPK) against a stock targa top automatic C5.

We went from 30-130, he put about 2, maybe 3 cars on me. I was impressed that I held up that well.

When i ran my Bone stock Cobra against a Modded 6 Spd 02 Camaro SS. He pulled a 13.06 to my 12.79. After the run i was cooling down and he still couldn't believe i was bone stock. Took him for a ride on my next run and he told me he was very impressed.

Can't wait for the Pulley to get here. 450rwhp = FUN

I really haven't had too many races on the street, but one was pretty fun.

A primered prelude with a body kit, ready to be painted, and big 'ol muffler was in front of me at the light. I saw him keep looking in his rear view mirror. I was headed to the interstate and so was he. At the light, you need to turn right, then right immediately again to get on the entrance ramp. Light turns green, all I hear is this nasty exhaust sound, like a dirt bike. So he's off, ... and I immediately follow and when I turn right onto the entrance ramp, I kicked the back end out a little. It was fun. I was pulling extremely fast, and it worked out that just as the entrance ramp was meeting with the interstate I was ready to blow by him. It was so ugly. I gave him a wave as I flew by, with his exhaust screaming. He wouldn't look over after that.

Most memorable race was against a beautiful late model red 300ZX TT, when I was stock. It was a dumb race, because I didn't really know the "rules" of racing on the street at the time. Anyways, I'm in the left lane on the interstate cruising by slower traffic, when the 300Z TT comes FLYING up on my butt. I slow down to 65 mph and drop to 4th (should have dropped to 3rd, I know). I took off and left him like crazy, up to about 110, where I started to slow down and merged into the right lane. Needless to say, he's pissed now so I see him coming up on me fast and I try to drop down a gear or two to run with him, but it was too late, he had the speed. I gave him a thumbs up later down the road. Neither one of us really won, but I kept wondering if he thought that he caught up to me, when in reality I had let off the gas and had alreay merged into the right lane to slow down. I still see him every once in a while, and can't wait to get another showdown.

Got into it with a 12.4@117 supercharged 5.0 Mustang, whatever year was the final year of the 5.0. Went from a dead stop, got a car and a half at the light...bad launch on both our parts. Kept that car and a half on him through those trap speeds. Dumbest thing ever...but you don't get many opportunities to run supercharged mustangs around here.

Bet he was surprised. Don't see too many 117 mph WRX's on the street. I assume you had the spray going at the time.

Mine is either the bolt on C5 that I beat N/A or the 03 Cobra I beat on the spray. The Cobra guy previously had a 98 Cobra and I had him do U turn on me one day to race me and I busted his ass. 6 Months later he got a 03 Cobra and ran into me again. And again I killed him pretty bad.

It was the only time I ever sprayed on the street. Didn't get a chance to talk to him that night, but I had run into him later on and we chatted. He was cool about it and non of his Green Acres Mustang buddies could believe it when he told them he lost to a Subaru. That was back before the front mount and some other little things. In theory I should be able to pull off that 12.4 withouth spray, just won't trap anywhere near 117. Wouldn't be surprised if it goes 120 through the traps on spray.

Last year it was a Lamborghini. His $.5mil v12, 650HP & AWD couldn't muster but a mid 12 all night. I could have waited a 1/2 second for him to catch up but I thought ..... Nah. He would have owned me on a road course but at the drags he's all mine. :cool:

My 2nd year anniversery of owning my Z I got into it with a Mustang and a '93 Supra ...at the time I had slightly minor mods..nothing much...we we're gonna start from a rol but we all agreed for going onto our NEWLY PAVED 4 lane and doing it from a freeze.We we're sitting there..and I could here the Supra's engine spooling up...then I listened to the mustang on the other side of me (I was in the middle)...I decided to join in spooling and when I starting spoolin' her up those jackasses started laughing..I could hear the Supercharged stang getting ready to just smash the gas and when the light switched to green we all just shouveled into the gas...I was spinning out and when I finally got some traction I started pulling on both of em like crazy!I was hitting the gears like crazy and we didnt shut our cars down at any speed.....I was going like 147 tops before I nailed the brakes.We all pulled over on the sohulder and we all sat on te hood of my car talking and the dude in the Toyota was like "What kinda **** you got under the hood."...I was like "An air filter and a lid...if you count the exhaust as under the hoodmthat too."...and he just looks at me like :eek: :bow: .He said he had a TT and some other mods...and the stang dude was like "...All I have is a Supercharger :rolleyes: "...

I finished about 3-4 cars ahead and the Supra finished about 1-2 cars ahead of the stang...

Aight,guess I can add one here.I was at the gas station filling it up.A newer Blown stang GT pulls up next to me.So I compliment him on how good his car sounded.He had both exhaust running out the passengers side.Pointed right at me.The thing did sound sweet.He says to me"you got a cam in there." I said "yeah,you want to run em?" He says "No,I need tires,I am on drag radials"...I am thinking...Hell i need tires too... anyhow,I thought he would of gave me a good run,and he backed out of it.I killed him at the pumps..lol.Sorry for ramblin on..:)

This is my first post on this site, Im uaually on ls1tech.com (1320_performance).

My best race was @ the track against a SC (kb) 2002 gt methanol injection, cam, 3:90 gears, predator tunning, bfg dr's, exhaust. his 12.8 @ 109 to my 12.70 @ 111. After we raced he followed to where I pit and asked me what I got done to my motor, I told him just a cam and bolt ons, the following month he added twin disc centerforce clutch, moser axles, and a set of welds prostars along w/ m/t et streets, we lined up again and he ran a 12.4 @ a 111 to my 12.6 @ 113. still running my 17x19.5 1992 vette rims for the tracks w/ bfg dr's.since we raced last, Ive added spec x-pad billet flywheel, bmr sfc's, bmr relocation brackets, spohn lca, bmr t/a, janzter ported tb and hope fully angie from tr pulls through w/ my strange 4;10s gears before the memorial day races.
Me and the dude w/ the stang are now friends his also getting his car ready for the memorial day drags, he installed a roll bar on his car so he must have something under his sleeve.

1) built 455 big block 71 GTO with a stalled auto. we both spun the first time and it was almost dead even up top. the second i dead hooked and left on him, beating him by about 3-4 cars up top. after the second race, he got all pissed, asking to look under my hood. he was ready to tear my car apart looking for the phantom nitrous bottle that he says i used the second time....:D :D :D

2) 2000 SS, M6 H/C, drag radials, full exhaust, etc etc....raced him twice at the track and won both times. afterwards he asked what kind of mods i had and seemed a bit stunned when i told him i had a stock motor with bolt ons and a converter. he too asked if i was spraying...:D :D :D

EDIT: cant forget my first ever $ race on the street...98 cobra, 4.30s, headers, catback, shifter, drag radials....pulled him right out of the hole and continued putting cars on him all the way to the quarter...made 100 bucks...:cool: (this was before my LTs/ORY too.)

Nice kill on the C5. What other bolt ons do you have that you don't list? 107 trap speed on a stock cam and heads is impressive!

in high school i had a 77 ford f-150,,460 auto,,i bought the truck fairly cheep and had no idea what was done to the motor,,i later learned the motor was pulled from a wrecked mud race truck of some sort,,,well anyways the truck would flat haul ass,,,,,,this kid i knew kept getting on me how his s-10 was bad ass since his dad did a v-8 swap on it,,,it was a 350 with i think a 700r4 tranny with some mild motor mods,,,,,,,,,we raced from a dead stop up to around 100 and he was never closer than 5-6 lengths once we got off the line i really launched good and he never recovered,,,,he never ran his mouth about his s-10 again that was for sure,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Had a new Viper by 4 Tenths Lastnight.. My 11.68 to his 12.04.. I saw him afterwards and he just looked over and shook his head.

alright, I have a v6 camaro, I hadn't spent one cent on mods, just free stuff(open TB, no jack and spare, unhooked exhaust, removed MAF screen, removed DRivebelt)

My original plan was to squeeze a 14.9 out of the car with no mods and the original tires with ~35,000 miles on htem.

I was at the track, got lined up with a 94-98 Red Msutang GT, had full exhaust, normal sweet mustang tone so I assume at least a catback, maybe headers and an intake.

We get lined up. I have beaten a few, but I usually do not care too much about my competition, I was looking for new bests out of my v6 that was hitting 14.7s and 14.6s because frankly surprised me with how well it was running without any money invested.

We lined up, light goes, I had like a .7XX to his .5XX, so he got me off the light(whenever I beat v8 cars I usually outlight them and hold off till the end) Well he gets the jump, whatever, I am focusing on my car I get lined up with v8 4th gens alot so don't pay much attention, then I get going, and I notice I am pulling and gaining, I ride up, and pass him then proceed to put 2-3 car lengths on him winning the race.

At that night it was a new Personal best of a 14.5 to his like 15.1:lol:

so a modded Stang Gt got pulled not just beaten by a $0 modded v6 Camaro. :lol:

Just felt so good to be the underdog, and alredy be at a loss and make it up with sheer power. I am used to just outdriving the other dirve with a good light and launch and holding out till the finish line. :D

i was at the tolls and just about to throw the money and all of a sudden a nice alfa romeo spider starts revving at the toll next to me(sounded stock), sweet i thought, my 2nd ever race... threw the money in and the prick takes of first, a car length in front already, so i slam it, just getting a bit of a squeek from the back wheels but did pretty well. i automatically start walking him.. but then i hear a car next to the alfa and im like wtf... it was a skyline r33, must have been just a gt, had a bodykit, exhaust lowered etc etc, no real performance mods or else he would have eaten me alive but i start walking them both, ahead by about 2 carlengths, i shut down at 100km/ph cause im still on my Ps and i cant go more than 90, but they both fly past me reaching what looked like 150 approx, didnt see the outcome with them two but all that matters(skyline must have won) is that i spanked a *** crap and a italian sh!tbox, i grinned all the way home.

i hung even with a stock viper on the street and beat one by 2 tenths at the track...then made the mistake of racing a turbo porsche from a highway roll....OUCH....:p
