This kid talks so much trash with his dakota r/t that is stock and wants ro race me do you guys think i got him?

your kidding, right? You'd blow his doors is even if you are stock. If you are smart you'd tell the kid you'll only race for money.

My brother owned one.....it was a fun truck for college, but damn was it ever slow.

They sound good but there dogs...high 14's maybe

that is because they are severely torque-limited. A good pcm tune will make a big difference in his performance, and also the the life of his tranny;) (the reason its torque limited)

Im 99% sure the 4.7 with a 5-speed is faster than the R/T.

Yes the 4.7 5 speed auto club cabs are faster than a reg cab R/t. I had a club cab 318 stick 4x4. With ported heads, cam, headers, cold air with 3.91 gears. It ran 13.6 lanching in 4wd

yeah, a STOCK regular cab r/t can be coaxed into the high(like 14.99) 14's, but watch out for some of the modded one's.....there are quite a few in the twelves and very few even lower......just like any other vehicle, how much time/money/knowldge do you have?

oh, and i've seen some fast 4.7's as well, but stock for stock they will not match the r/ts......there was at one point talk of continuing the r/t with a factory supercharged 4.7, but that never came to be.......
