What parts do I need to upgrade my front LT1 brakes to the LS1 brakes?

Spindle
Caliper
Rotors
Lines
Do I need new sensor or will the one from my 96 work?
Anything else?

Please reply soon. Working with someone to buy their LS1 brake parts, but only includes spindle, calipers, lines, and rotors. Just need to know if I need to get anything else....sensor, cage?

The sensor comes with the spindle, so no worries there. You have all you need on that list.

The sensor is part of the hub, not the knuckle.

It's of no consequence though as it should work.

The hub comes with the spindle. Noone seperates the two when they know they guy is doing a swap. Nice 2 cents there...

Hmm...dude is selling just the spindle, calipers, rotors and line...no hub. He's saying the hub is the same for all 4th gen, so my existing hub should bolt on....is this true. Are the spindle and hubs "mated"?

No, it bolts on to the spindle. I'm not sure if there the exact same, I would think maybe they are, but why settle?

The hubs are identical and have the ABS sensor built into them. That is why they are so freaking expensive. GM will want close to $200 for a single hub.

If the knuckles came off of a wrecked car, make sure you have an avenue of returning the knuckles. I have bought 2 sets off of wrecked cars that were bent. 2 knuckles were only detectible when measuring turning radius. And there is no easy way of checking BEFORE you install them.

If you have a mismatched turning radius, one tire will scrub while turning. And this measurement is overlooked a lot of times when getting alignments.

Like usual, the board has provided useful info. Thanks for the replies...forgot to ask if these were off a wrecked SS. Basically, I'm just looking for a good set of "straight" spindles and calipers, since I can re-use my hub. I plan to upgrade with Baer eradispeed rotors anyways and probably some Earl SS lines.
