LCA relocation brackets don't fit???

I had purchased a 12 bolt Moser rear used from a guy off this board sometime last year. I just finally got around to putting it in this weekend. The LCA Relocation brackets that came with it do not fit over my Hotchkis LCA's.The brackets mount inside stock locations but do not bend back out for any clearance, they just go straight out. So basically you lose the width of the steel on each side. Could these brakets be for only a certain type of LCA or is there something I need to do in order to mount them up? Any suggestions?

Sometimes they arent welded "straight" and you have to bend them out a tad. I had a torque arm from jegs I had to spread open a bit to get it on, from the off-level welds it had.

I wish that were the case. These come straight out from where they bolt up on the inside of the stock bracket. To bend them out I would have to go 1/4" or more. These came right off the guys car, that why I'm not sure if they only work with a certain brand LCA. Either that or my LCAs need to be modified somehow, like removing the rubber bushings or something.

If you like, I'll measure the ones on my car and post it up. Just be specific on where you want me to measure.

Thanks, but I don't think measuring will help. I just checked again last night when I got home and the brackets are off by about a 1/2" total. They must be compatible with only a certain type of LCA. There is no other explanation. I know the kid had aftermarket LCAs on the car it came off of. As I said the only way for the bracket to fit would be for me to remove the rubber on the sides of the LCA, which I'm unsure if it even comes off. Besides that would make things either very noisy or transfer alot of vibration. So unless someone else chimes in with another idea I'll probably just sell them.

Sounds like they are Metco relo brackets. They only work with Metco LCAs. Metco's LCAs are narrow and need spacers for a stock application then when you use the relocation brackets you don't use the spacers.

You'll either need Metco LCAs or new brackets.

AL you are correct. I just checked Metcos website after I read your post. Thats exactly what they are. They have apicture of them attached to the LCAs. Oh well, looks like I will be posting in the For Sale section next. Thanks guys

If you decide to replace the relo brackts, note that the Moser 12-bolt and 9-inch do not use the same LCA mounting brackets as the stock rear and the Strange or KTRE 12-bolt. As a result, you need a Moser-specific relocation bracket. Spohn Performance sells one:
