I haven't done, nor plan to, do any sort of racing with my new car. Although that was true with my Saturn as well. The point is, this is my only story, and I thought it was a good one, even if a bit dated.
Anyway, I'm sitting at a red light when a green mustang pulls up next to me. He has his top down and his arm around his blond-haired woman. He starts revving his engine; I guess it made him feel macho around his woman. She starts laughing and so does he.
I wasn't going to let that slide. I had no illusion as to what would happen, as I was driving a freaking Saturn. Well, the light turns green and we gun it. Suprisingly, nobody spins (yeah, like that was a surprise with my car  ). Even more suprising is that he hasn't blazed by me. Actually, I start pulling ahead of him. He shuts it down pretty quick after that. I then pulled in front of him, then moved into the left turn lane. When he passed, I waved goodbye. I wonder if his girl was still latched onto him.
In the end, I was surprised, and that story always pops up whenever I consider racing with my V6 bird.
