Help! Third Brake Light Scratched Up
Help! Third Brake Light Scratched Up
I was washing my car today and noticed my third brake light is all scratched up. Is there any way to make this look like new again, or would I be better off just buying a new one? I tried some plastic polish but no dice.. Thanks for any help.

You can use "Blue Magic" Plexiglass and Plastics cleaner (Pep boys has it) or if you have a bench grinder you can get a buffing wheel at home depot and some very light compound and carefully buff it.

sorry, I didn't look at the picture. The only thing that will work on that is a buffing wheel on a grinder with some light polish. Its the same technique that jewelry stores use to buff out the scratchs on watch crystals. If you know anyone in a jewelry store maybe they can do it for you. The thing is you have to go very slow, lightly and careful or you will burn the plastic. Takes a little skill. It just might be easier to just go and find another one.
