just a friendly street race. this guy had been showing off his stang all night and i was feeling like racing, so i pulled him over and asked if he'd like to run it. he said sure. he has a '95 GT Mustang, 3.73 gears, full flowmaster exhaust, 5 speed. my mods are in my sig.
we went from a dead stop and on take off i jumped him by 2 and i was spinning bad! raced a little longer than a quarter mile and smoked him by at least 6-8 cars! i was like:
so he wasnt happy at all and we went from a 20mph roll and i jumped him by 1 and smoke him by another 6 or 7! i have to say, after eatin me a stang last night, i felt pretty good!

whoa guy

Nice kill! Those 94-95 Mustangs don't hold their own very well in a race do they?

Those stangs are turds. 215 hp, even my taurus sho used to take those. Not really competition for a fbody.

Those 5.0's have a LOT of potential, being the "legendary" 5.0 and all. Especially the 94-95 Cobra's. When i was looking for a Z i was contemplating getting a 95 Mustang GT, but then decided on the Camaro because they're simply faster, and look a lot meaner. :D Aren't Ponie's for little girls?

i was very happy with the results, i must say. i really didnt think i'd beat him that bad, but it made my night that much better! he was very cool about the whole thing though and told me after we stopped and talked that he knew he wouldnt beat me, but just wanted to see what his stang really had. makes ya feel great to just walk all over them stangs like that! :D

Good kill. Those '95 Stangs need heads and cam, blower, turbos or nitrous to really get moving.

Pretty much. 215hp, 3300lbs. It doesn't stand a chance against a stock Lt-1, let alone a bolt-on one.

Garbage, how do you fit your big head into that Mach 1?

I'd never argue the fact that an LT1 stock vrs a Mach 1 stock is anywhere near a race...

But now, i can get an LT1 used for 13k at a dealership with a warranty. I don't know the rough cost of a Mach, but i'll go with a standard GT price of around 25k in Cali. Now with $12k to spend... I'd hand you and your mach1 your ass with no problems.

I don't know the potential of an LS1 so i won't argue with you there.

When you compare them to their competition they are. I raced my friends 00 ss with a lid and exaust and he can barly pull 3 cars on my stock mach. I got my exaust on the way so we shall see.

Edit i just read i put 3 cars i meant 3 feet

Well I guess if we got technical and just kept going back a generation to fight the price war, the mustang would ultimatly win. I'm just comparing 4th gens against 2003+ Stangs.

Yeah, but thats because Chevys hold their value better than Fords. Which are required to be Fixed Or Repaired Daily.
