I know this shoudl be in the sale section, but I'm looking for anyone who has a Borg Warner T5 world class transmission for my 1995 v6 camaro. I've pretty much toasted the 2nd gear syncrho. Nothing like having to double clutch it when you're racing a ricer. :D
I'm kinda looking at the possiblity of doing a complete rebuild on the tranny myself too, but, i'm afraid of cracking open a semi-working tranny on my primary form of transportation.
If anyone can offer any help, suggestions, or know of where i can get a cheap t5, let me know asap. Thanks guys.

There are a couple at my local recycler. They pull them, check them and put them on the shelf until sold. I can do the swap for you, remove the old trans put in the new one, fluids etc... if you are interested shoot me an e-mail.

Its that thing that manual transmission have allowing them to be launched harder, shift faster, and control the revs better on the road, all in all being faster then an auto ;)

But serioulsy mike a local I am not sure but some really big hispanic guy at autozone was telling me about a place downtown that will have tons of WC t5s, they pull from junk cars and you can put it in, if it sucks you trade it back out. I am not too keen on pulling trannies in my parking every other day lot like you might be willing to do.(I actually got bitched at for changing a valve cover seal and plugs/wires on a freinds 4 banger the other day)

I cannot rember the place but that is what the guy reccomended...

I got mine rebuilt at Speedway Transmission, on coloniol I had reverse, and 2nd gear problems, and a new clutch, resurface of flywheel was ~$1400 I think, not too bad. But then again, they scratched my hatch pretty bad in a spot. And well their rebuilds were not exactly long lasting either...

I didn't mind the scratch after all the place installed a poly torque arm bushing for me for free. :) And the rebuilds subsequently afterwards under warranty ;)
