SPEC To Develop a Twin Disk?

I was thumbing through my recent GMHTP rag and saw a SPEC ad. It stated in the ad that a twin disk clutch is in development. Can anyone confirm this and, if they are, will they be developing them for LT1's/LS1's?

I'm going to be in the market for a new clutch soon and would really like to know this. :)

Please tell me it ain't true.. Judging by their single disk's for the LTx's .. i'd hate to see what a dual disc will be like....

Are they really THAT bad? I thought their quality was starting to get better?

Even if it has Gotten better w/ their single disk setups'.. Why would anyone dare to try their "new" twin disk? mcleod has this segment on lock! Its' tried and true.. been proven by many..

LOL,,, although I do agree that the Mcleod's street twin is dialed in, don't think for a second that Mcleod didn't go through some "teething" pains with their street twin for the first year or so of production. ;)

BTW, have you owned a SPEC clutch, now or in the past? Just curious.

I talked to SPEC last week about their Stage III, and it they found the cause of the problem in the older clutches, something about some clearance/tolerance being TOO tight. Supposedly it's been fixed. Are people with new clutches still having problems?

I have had 4 spec's prior to getting my street twin.. They all sucked..except for the last one.. I sold it New in the box :D
