There are so many things to consider. I would contact everyone who makes a converter and pick their minds. It depends upon your mods and what you want to do with the car. I believe you get what you pay for. Everytime I have tired the "low buck" approach I end up doing it again and it costs double. For what it is worth, I have an Art Carr 9 1/2" that stalls around 3000rpm. A few friends have GNs and they were very happy with theirs from AC. I am too so far.

Like stated above, you really get what you pay for here...I'm a Precision Industries Vigilante user...Have had their 9.5" 3600 stall in my car since 1996...5 tenths in the quarter and daily drivability...My advice would be to don't go cheap here...
