I thought I remeber reading a post a real long time ago about someone selling a kit to remove the rear seat and put carpeting over it. Anyone heard about this? I did a search but couldnt come up with anything.

There already is carpet under the seat. There are two seat mounting tabs on the floor that can be cut off then there will be no metal showing

Your still going to have the holes where the seat belts enter the hatch and retract and where the seat back clips into the car.

You can make em your self easy. It's just carpeted MDF board.

Put a killer sound system in the back cause the back seats are too small for practical use anyways, except for tighties. ;)

It doesnt look too hard but I thought there was someone selling a prefabbed kit. Maybe it was on my old dsm board.

You may be thinking of this. I wonder if there is any place else to purchase something similar?

If you guys are willing to pay 60 bucks for 2 pieces of carpeted mdf fiber board maybe I just found myself a new hobby. :D as if I don't have enough to do already :o

EDIT: I just realize people might take me seriously on this

It's easy to make your self and will cost you about 30-40 bucks total and you will have extra board.

For the holes where the seatbelt bolts were mounted, find the largest plastic "body plugs" at your local auto parts store, paint to match the carpet color. For the shoulder harness holes in the fender panels, a thin sheet of plastic or aluminum, paint to match and glue to the inside of the panel.
