Clutch and flywheel ?'s

Went to the track a few weeks back and roasted my clutch (hard launches on drag radials, slips under hard acceleration now :( ). I'm thinking about getting a centerforce dual friction clutch. Has anyone used one with slicks? I don't wanna be replacing a clutch again anytime soon (college student budget lol)

Also, a guy I work with said I might as well change flywheels while I'm at it. Will I notice any kind of gain with a lighter flywheel? Does anyone know where I could get one? or should I just resurface the one I've got?

I have heard some good and some bad about the centerforce.. I would just go w/ a Upgraded clutch such as the Mcleod Single disk for 7500rpm.. Tbyrne was having a sale on mcleod stuff so you'd be under 400 bux.. As far as the flywheel.. Yes the lighter flywheel would help the motor rev faster.. as far as "how" much a gain.. i have no idea.. BUt you might get some.. If you road race i'd recommend it where as the car goes up and down the rev's more.. but as far as drag racing.. i'd say. get the steel it weighs more and will carry the momentum better and leave better...

not sure about f-bodies, but my friend went through 2 centerforce clutches in about 6 months... the material pads kept breaking/falling off, and it was on near bald nitto 555r's (275)

now he has king cobra.

not saying they arent good clutches, but i wouldnt recommend them.

About the flywheel...can I use any SBC flywheel or do LT-1s use a specific flywheel?
