I thought I would venture to fabricate a custom grill for my daughters '98 Camaro, and this is what the end product looks like.

Thanks for taking a peek. :D

Look for 67-72 (I can't remember which year exactly) chevy truck grille bowties, they're red. The camaro ones are blue. I saw one on ebay a week ago, but I just looked and didn't see it.

Looks good the red bowtie will finish it off nice :thumb:

It is certainly one of a kind.

I made it out of 304 Stainless Steel Wire Mesh Cloth. The material is a true weave, not stamped or welded. It is equal to 14 Gauge wire in thickness and framed in a PVC rubber fine sand textured trim gasket. I make grills for BMW's primarily, but wanted to see what this upgrade material would look like on a domestic ride.

It came out very nice, certainly better than the cheap stamped grill I had originally put on her '98 Camaro.

Looks real nice!!!! What did you use? wire mesh or something like that?

I KNOW she bought you a six-pack for that right? My daughter is too young for cars( 5 years old) but I want to hook up her lil barbie beetle. snatch off all the sissy logo's and paint it silver with a full vinyl interior, add a 5.6 monitor and a small radio (portable), then take it to 2004 Nopi Nationals with me and my two camaros and let her ride around and show-off. She loves cars and we take her to the shows every year, and she "tries" to help out with my cars. I shoulda had a boy huh? I gotta work with what I have lol!!!!!!!!

I don't know - maybe for your daughter, no offense but I wouldn't want it on my red 4th generation

As suggested, I added a Bowtie to the grill.

I think it looked better with out the bowtie. And I think you should remove the black grill piece behind the metal grill.

looks clean, you have some very good skills; who cares what anyone thinks, most importanty thing is that your daughter likes it
