which transmission to upgrade from stock 4l60e?

which transmission to upgrade from stock 4l60e?

i'm thinking of selling my automatic 4l60e transmission,and put a tranny that will handle 500 horses or so since i'm thinking to get going on the 94 z28.



which tranny are you guy's having luck with turbo 350 or the 400.

yeah that would be great but i would have to convert from auto to manuel thats allot of work, which i think it would be expensive.


looking to sticking with an auto unless i could get a whole setup cheap which i doubt

I heard that the 4l60e can be built to handle around 600 hp, i know when my 4l60e goes thats what i'm going to do,probably cheaper than another trans

Check these guys out they seem to really know their stuff. They have a 4l60e that'll handle 600hp and 450lbs tq (600 with option) for less than $2000 with no trade. I'll prolly go for one of these when mine decides to go......Later http://www.4l60-e.com/

Some of the Impala SS guys had trouble with that shop.

I have a pro-built.net 4L60E I really like, I think his street/strip package is rated to 550hp and is under $2000, if you are made of money then flp2win.com is supposed to be great but your going to pay for it.

Another popular guy on the other side of the LT1 world is Team Tripp.

HE HAS THEM RUNNING IN THE LOW NINES. FOR TWO RACING SEASONS SPRAYING A 300 SHOT OFF THE LINE. AND HOLDING ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE 1/4 EVEN ON THE SHIFTS. AND HAS NO PROBLEM AND HE CAN PUT YOU A TRANS BRAKE IN, AND HIS TRANNYS RUN ANY WHERE FRON 300 LBS TO 325 LBS OF LINE PRESSURE. THEY NEVER SLIP.
