Headliner repair

Ok fellas. My saggy headliner was making me mad so i bought some of that heads up heavy duty headliner glue. It worked for a week and nows it saggin again. Any glue that u guys tried that actually worked? Any easy fix?

It's probably not the glue ,but the foam on the head liner when it goes bad it starts to crumble so the glue doesn't stay stuck.

Once the headliner starts to sag, no DIY repair is gone to correct it. It will need to be repaced. You want a factory look let a Auto Reholstery shop do it, or try replacing it yourself for that personal touch.:eek:

i pulled my headliner out, and went to walmart and bought 3 sq. feet of material for $2. I then removed the old material and used that as a patern for the new stuff. It turned out ok, and ended up costing me like $10:) Just be carefull to smooth out all the kinks before the glue sets.

aww man, heads up is good stuff. they make headliners also. they are like 29 bucks at autozone so i figured i'd try it.

you can't just spray glue up there and expect it to hold you know... you take the whole liner down and tear the old one off. scrape all that loose debris off then spread the glue out. roll the carpet over the liner and smooth it out with your hands. cut the excess off and let it dry for a few hours. it worked awesome for me, simple and cheap solution to an all to common problem

for 29 bucks for the liner, and 6 for the glue? man, they had me sold :D

I'm currently re-doing my headliner man. I have a digicam and will be more than happy to take pictures and do a write up for you. I went to a local place and they wanted $175 for an ABS plastic replacement headliner mold + fabric and labor. Its very expensive so I am not gonna go that route. I am gonna re-do mine. It cost me $30 for headliner material, $15 for spray adhesive, and its gonna be about an hour and a half of my time.
