Ok... i know there have been tons of exhaust topics, but I was wondering if I can get some one on one advice and recomendations for a system...
I dont want to change my headers, but i want the loudest exhaust possible. I have a 1990 305 TPI. Emmisions is not a problem.
What will be the loudest?
Eliminate the cat and eliminate the muffler?
Eliminate the Cat and put a muffler on (if so, Dynomax Bullet? Flowmaster 40 Series? Hooker Aero Chambers? Etc.)
Leave the cat and put on a muffler?
Let me know your opinions. I want a really loud car and cost really isnt a problem. Any other info would be really appreciated. Thanks Guys.

what will be the loudest? no cat, no muffler. duh ;)
I would not go for that though, if you want absolute loudness, get a cutout (electric, if you have the money) that way you can close it and have a "normal" exhaust sound level (with a muffler and even a cat) for talking or long freeway drives.
Even though I run my cutout open most of the time (right behind the headers), I do close it every now and then when I have someone in the car, or have a headache (yes, the open header sound is not good for headaches).

Just get a cutout, or run a dynomax bullet or loudmouth.

LoL yea i know the no cat no muffler setup would be the loudest... but would it be raspy at all? I ran a no cat no muffler setup on my old truck and it got very raspy at higher RPMs.
How exaclty do I go about installing a cutout. Where is the best location to put one? If i did put on a cutout, will that decrease performance due to loss of backpresure or increase it. Any more info would be helpful. Thanks again!
