:) I want to know if it is worth it to go to an independant fuel managment system all together with the LT1. I have a 95 obd1 and I hear all this stuff about doing this and that to ge tthe sensors to read right and not make the car run way to rich which mine is doing now. Why not get an IFMS and tweak it the easy way?

For a relatively mild NA setup, there is no reason the stock PCM can not be tuned to provide good results. If you are running rich - and I'm assuming you are talking about the mods in your signature, which are CAI and exhaust - it would appear to be a tuning problem, or faulty info from the sensors. An aftermarket ECU will need the same sensors your current setup has... it isn't going to cure problems if the data it gets aren't correct. Who did your tune? What did they say about "running rich"? How have you determined that it is running rich?
There are some fairly radical NA LT1's running well on the stock PCM. Its basically the power adder engine (S/C, turbo, dry N2O) that may be a lot easier to tune with an aftermarket ECU.

I'm asking not for now but for when I get a 383 Stroked Blower motor. I like to be prepared for things and i dont see much discussion on this subject. hear it more from the RICERS for their hondas.

If you need to know how to best control a blower setup, you probably need to do it through the guys on the Forced Induction forum, or possibly "Computer......" forum. I'll move this to Forced Induction.

I have a stock PCM and enough hp to push a 4,100lb car+driver to >140mph in the 1/4. So I guess my answer is to say that you don't need one.

It really comes down to how radical of a setup you are going with. How much power do you plan on making? Is this a everyday car? Like said a stock pcm can be tuned to handle alot of power. Plus you can run a Acceleronics Impedance converter in conjuction with a stock pcm to run low impedance injectors.

I am planning on making about 600 hoarsepower. it will be a streetable 383 supercharged with all emissions in palce and completely made for the sreet. Thats another thing I dont know about. I am not sure what kind of injectors I will need to buy when the time comes. Low Impedence? I know what it means but I iddn't know injecotors have to do with it I thought they were rated in Lbs per hour or somthing similar. I thought tyhere were things you can buy to bypass the factory ecm and see everything working on a laptop. With the right connector and computer chip it really wouldnt take that much equipment or cost. A computer program and small piece of plug in hardware I would think... Hum.

For 600rwhp you can keep your stock PCM and add an LT1 edit program for tuning. With an LT1edit, tuning for 600hp is no problem at all. I don't know much about sizes on injectors but as IDOXLR8 said, you can buy impadence converters and run as big as injectors as you want. If you're worried about that then another option is to run an external injector controller which in your case will control about two extra injectors. It is fairly cheap and very easy to tune.

When can I schedule a test drive? I promise I'll top it off with gas before I bring it back. :D
Seriously, the stock PCM should be fine for a blower setup. Several people have run the stock PCM on turbo setups, although it's not the most efficient way to do it. :)
Oh yeah, 600 hp is near worthless on the street unless you like smoke and lights.

For 600 rwhp the stock pcm is suitable. I would probably suggest going with 72 lb injectors. I think 55lbers would be too small.
