Sorry to even ask considering I could search. This has become a quick decision and I need to pay for the license quickly so I can get to work before my engine is rebuilt. I'm going to borrow someone else's tune and copy it for starters and make minor adjustments as needed.

Anyway I have very little time to search so, ....where should I buy the LT1 Edit and what kind of cable do I need and where do I get the cable? Someone is sending me a used laptop with the LT1 Edit and some scanning software already in it ...I just need to buy the license and cable and need information to do that quickly.

If someone has the time, thank you.

LT1edit can be purchased here (http://www.carputing.com/ ). I got my cable from Andrew at AKMCables (http://www.akmcables.com/) .

Several years ago when I bough LT1edit, carputing didn't sell cables. I'm not sure if they do now or not. Maybe for OBDII, since the cable is what is locked to the PCM. OBD1 is different, the software is locked, not the cable. I got mine from Andrew because he makes a quality cable and is an f-body enthusiast like the rest of us. Just make sure to get the cable that has the molded connector. Its definatly worth the extra $$
