Just wondering if anyone has their stock pistons/Rods laying around? My friend wiped his #3 rod bearing this last weekend road racing at Road America. Car is a 2000 SS with only 21K on the clock. Rod #3 looks like crap, but the piston is OK. I'd like to replace the set and not have to press off the stock piston and replace the rod, but I will if I have to. Anyone have stock internals that they no longer need? Please let me know
Does anyone know the cause of rod bearing failure besides oiling issues? The car makes 350 RWHP, and has pretty low miles on it? All the other bearings look good so I eliminated the oiling problem (at least a oil pump failure)
