Long Tubes On ... New muffler search

I've been looking through old posts ... I'd like to get a consensus though ... What is the best flowing muffler, bar-none? Anything I swap in on my current setup will be pleanty loud.

Right now I've got what's in my sig and it sounds incredible, however exhaust pops are insanely loud now that I'm running LT's and an offroad ypipe ... I'm looking to swap out my flowmaster muffler ... thinking it is congesting my exhaust ... Will all substitution mufflers fit up without having to make new welds / cat-back pipes?

EDIT: Oh and can anyone tell me where I can find a pair of those dual-flattened oval-center tips that come on the SLP 345hp SS? Are they 2.5" inlet?

try putting an 18" bullet right behind the Ypipe. that's what i'm planning on running with my magnaflow catback.

i had the MF on with a bassani ORP before and it would give some nasty rasp in upper rpms...now that i have the Flowtechs and orp i'm gonna throw the bullet (had it sitting around so why not) on itand see how it helps.

all i can say now is that i have JUST the bullet on the end of the Ypipe :D and it sounds almost good enough to leave it like that!!

I'd like to do something like this. So your muffler is gone from the catback and you have a bullet muffler in the y-pipe correct? Is there room for me to put my cut out and the bullet on the y-pipe "I pipe" area if you will? And whats the part number of a bullet muffler from say...summit that I can use for my car? Gracias!

Dynomax Bullet Mufflers from Summit ..
WLK-24222 for 3" in / 3" out, 12" long
WLK-24219 for 3" in / 3" out, 18" long

The Bullets after or before the axle? Have any pics? If not, can ya tell me roughly how the duals are routed to the rear?

before the axle. I ran 3" all the way, wasn't that hard. I'll post up pics tomorrow.

Replace the Flowmaster Muffler with a Hooker Aero Chamber Muffler. It is more free flowing and will only be real loud above 3000 rpm's. It only cost about $80.00
