just replaced my ported sub box with a sealed Subthump TTOP box. I really like the box,but it is obvious I need more power. I am looking at the JL 500/1. Will my 10 inch Kappas take that kind of power,I really like the way they sound. I am also looking on replacing the Kappas with either the 10W3,s or 10W0's. What is the difference besides price in the two. I can get the amp for 390 shipped, the pair of W0's for 180 and a pair of W3's for 280,all shipped.Any advice will be eagarly awaited.

If you like the subs keep em and get a better amp. A lot of people here are running the JBL 600.1 amp which can he had pretty cheap. You can probably look on ebay for either amp at a better price. I know the JBL can be had for under $200.

I would think the prices in my original post are quite good. Those prices include shipping and are from EBAY.As for the JBL amps,do I want the GTO or the Power Valve series? I have seen both on EBAY. They may perform well, but I dont really like the way they look.

Go with W3's. There are MANY amps out there that will sound the same as the JL Audio amp. Unless you are picky about having a matching amp/sub combo for display in your trunk, I suggest looking for a cheaper amp. The JL Audio amps are for rich kids. :p
