I just installed my new pioneer deh-p450 mp deck and it sounds great :D Last night I tried to make an mp3 cd. i just copied the songs in my folder directly to the cdrw drive. thats what you do to make an mp3 disk right? well i put it in my cd player and it says it cant read the format. Any ideas why it says that? Thanks.

You're using CD-RWs, right? That's not a typo? Yeah, all you have to do is create a data cd (not a music one, that turns mp3s into wav and sucks up all the CD space). I'm going to go out on a limb and say you didn't close the session, meaning that you can still write onto the CD. With a regular CD-R you can't reopen the session, but you can with a CD-RW.

I used a CD-R disk. I also picked the data cd option. Would it be better to use a CD-RW disk?

So, the session definitely closed? Well... did you just put you music folder in to be copied, or did you highlight all your songs and drag them onto the playlist? Some MP3 players won't open the folder.

I selected all the songs then right clicked and chose send to my E drive. Could it be because my songs are winamp media files?

Go to folder options. Go to the "View tab" Make sure the option to hide file extensions if off. Tell me what the file extensions are for your music files.

When you have an open folder, click on tools. It should be on the bar at the top of the folder.
