I'm really wanting to run nitrous in my 95. Check the sig for mods. I am running 10.5:1 Compression right now. Heard a few people tell me no...and others tell me yes. If yes...what is the max you would run? Thanks.

I would say max would be 150 shot wet kit.

150 is pushing the limits of a stock bottom end. Especially with other power mods... IE: 306 cam.

I wouldn't run on that setup more than a 125 shot and I would also be adding to my piggy bank for the BOOM Bitch that is inevitable.

There is also a whole sub-category on these forums for N2O. It has a wealth of info in there. They should be able to give you tons of pointers on nitrous setups.

Well, your bottom end isn't completely stock or so it would seem. I'd say you should be able to run a 150 shot with decent reliability. Just don't turn it higher than 6500 and remember you will need to shift sooner with the nitrous than you would without it. :)

Oh, I completely stand corrected. I neglected to notice that you are running forged pistons. 150 shouldn't be a problem

Pistons aren't the problem. It's the rods

I wouldn't worry too much about running 150 shot.... There are people around here running more than that on Stock bottom end Lt-1's, and some 200 shot's on Stock LS-1 bottom ends.... I wouldn't worry too much about the rods... It's RPM that really kills rods... If you don't spin it through the roof, I think you'll be fine... Just don't slouch on your fuel system..... I'd even think about a dedicated fuel system... Sounds like overkill, but it's safe as hell... You'd better run a window switch, and think about a fuel pressure safety switch.... My old cast engine went 2 years on stock cast pistons, cast rods, cast crank for over 2 years...... I know that sounds extreme, but I'm Mr. Overkill...
