Which gears to run?BartonekDragRacing 09-17-2002, 10:33 AM I have a 1st Gen Camaro w/a 12 bolt, aftermarket axles.. 4.88 gears w/a spool, 30" tall tires. Motor is a blown 383 SBC. Just run the numbers backwards shooting for 6000 RPMs at that MPH and you're right there. A 30" tall tire rolls about 94" per tire revolution, BTW. Thomash 09-21-2002, 11:29 PM As kind of a wild guess I would bet you'll turn about 3400 at high way speeds. I know a guy that has 4.11s in a 69 chevelle. When he hits 70 mph that engine is starting to really hummmmm. | ||
