krazzycowgirl 04-09-2004, 10:36 PM Well I have only a few more days before I can Offically sell my 82 Pace car.
Heres some information on it.
Its a 1982 Indy Pace car Project car NEEDS A GOOD HOME
CFI (Crossfire Injection)
Disc brakes car (only about 25% of the Pace cars were made with 4 disc brakes so this is a rare car)
needs new interior (totally new interior)
We have New brakes for it & some other minor stuff for it.
Pics (http://www.hpiv.net/82pace.html)
I am asking $2k USD OBO
CLEAN Washinton Title
I have a guy that I have been waiting for since Jan to come make a payment on it & I have given him until April 15th or I can sell it to who ever.
I will not ship & the car is NOT driveable due to bad brakes & Rotors.
Email me If interested.
Pandamonkey 04-09-2004, 10:51 PM Crossfire!! Cool...........
Would make a fun restoration project............or possibly a nice 1/4 mile'er with a new engine.:)
Is it financially profitable if the person spent the time and money to restore it?
krazzycowgirl 04-09-2004, 11:28 PM The body is Straight & Only two holes in the engine compartment.
Needs new paint & New interior thats about it.
I have Priced out the Interior & it be about $700 USD thats everything including the Seats which are $300 for a set of seats & the door panels (only a couple companies sell these other wise it be like 4X that to recover the seats).
The only problem with the engine is that its needs some work since Its been sitting for about 2years with out being really started.
Oh one thing I forgot is its in "The Offical Chevrolet Pace car" Book shes the 3rd one they found with 4 Disc brakes. So really a Gem.
I dont have the time NOR the money to spend on her since my husband went out & got him a 67 Stepside pick up. Along with maintaining our other 5 cars/trucks (7 in total that we own).
krazzycowgirl 04-12-2004, 06:28 PM 3 more days until its offically up for sale.
sideways_Into_3rd 04-12-2004, 06:32 PM im sorry to be such an A-hole

What the 82 Indy pace car or 3rd gens in general?
Hey everyone is intitle to them own opion. but mines the only one that counts (jk)
Pandamonkey 04-12-2004, 07:05 PM As long as we're tossing opinion's around........
Even though the 82's may not be the prettiest of the 3rd gens, I would take any 82 - 92 over a late (75'+) 2nd gen.
Chevrolet had a winner back in 81 when they debuted the 82.
It was the car to have - they sold an incredible amount.
That car would be nice to have and just keep if it was in decent shape.........I'm sure you would be doing just that if it was.:)
I wonder how rare it is exactly?
Do you know the numbers?
krazzycowgirl 04-12-2004, 07:28 PM Well there were only 6,363 of the Indy pace cars made that year. only 6,360 were sold. 2 of the 3 that were NOT sold were 350 cars & they went to the winner & in to a collection at GM.
I dont know how many were sold with the CFI that year. But I do know that only 25% of the pace cars Made (including the two made pace cars for the race) were 4 disc brakes. 10% were shipped to Canada. Other then that I dont know.
This car is listed in the "Offical Chevrolet Pace car"Book on page 181 & is the 3rd one from the top. They messed On the vin & put an A in the 6th spot Its suppose to be an 8. there is only 22 listed in the book to have disc brakes.
krazzycowgirl 04-14-2004, 03:02 PM One more dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I agree I would not pay over 100 dollars for that......and im being serious!
krazzycowgirl 04-14-2004, 04:16 PM Again I ask for what? The Pace car or for a 3rd gen?
The body alone is worth $5k right now. & it will only take $1,800 to get the car almost show worthy (not including the paint job)
97TA-WS6-Con 04-14-2004, 07:00 PM There is an old phrase my Mum told me."If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all".
Hate to be a p**ck guys, but Sid and Todd have not really added anything of real benefit to their comments. If you do not care for the car then there is no benefit in making your opinion known except unsulting the owner.
Not neccessary
sideways_Into_3rd 04-14-2004, 08:05 PM hey i already apologized in advance for being an Ahole
97TA-WS6-Con 04-14-2004, 08:39 PM Well, we already KNEW you were an A-hole.
:D

Do you know the numbers? hey watch it, 78-81's were beuts, that hurt:( 74-77 were the steel bumper single tail light ones, those are the not so good ones, but early and late 2nd gens are nice:p

Exactly!
Pandamonkey 04-14-2004, 10:17 PM I wasn't intending to offend. :)
You guys have spectacular cars..........but everyone has a year(s) of Camaro that they find less attractive.
It's unlikey to find them all equally striking.
PS - Mines better!

I didnt find yours offending But I did find Todds & Sideways. They still didnt answer me.
Oh the comment I made about the body is worth $5k the owner before me had his two camaros (he has a 69 & had the 82) The 69 was worth $30k & the 82 in the shape its in was appraised at $5k USD.
Steve in Seattle 04-14-2004, 11:31 PM what's that foot-long crack on the rear passenger side? Is that a photo-artifact or the paint/panel itself?
I don't know who appraised it, but I have a feeling thats a bit optimistic. Especially considering the www.kbb.com rates a "Excellent" condition 1984 (as old as they rate) as only $1,425... and that's for the entire car.
Add the 2 years, interior condition, cracked paint, and brake system and I'd guess you'll probably get less than half that. To be fair, the exterior (outside of the crack) does look great though :), but as you know, there just isn't much market for Fbodies in WA. :(
You could probably get 2 G's for the IROC though. kbb says a 350 is good for $2400 in Excellent condition: http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/kw.kc.ur?kbb.WA;013214;WA033&98092;+p&723;Chevrolet;1987%20C amaro&18;CH;D3
2 G's in turn could go a long way to making the 84 a more attractive sale... :)
krazzycowgirl 04-15-2004, 12:26 AM Steve,
The only Cracks on the car is in the GFXs & the Wing.
There is a crack on the door under the GFX but that all needs to be replaced.
You guys have to remember this is a PACE CAR one of only 1590 made with the package of CFI & 4 disc brakes.
As for the Vaule of the car go to NADA.com under their Classic sports car. They list the Pace car.
1982 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
Pace Car
Low $7,425
Average $10,150
High $12,550

My opinion is I don't like the pace car and that I would not pay over 100 dollars for it!! I think we have some bad azz 3rd gens on this site.... again Its just my opinion....this is a open forum.......dis my cars... I could care less.....Im not going to cry about it :alert:
krazzycowgirl 04-15-2004, 02:23 AM I am not crying over the fact you dont like the 82 indy pace cars. As I said before everyone has their own option.
The only thing I have to say about it is if ya dont like it & DONT want to pay what I am asking for it Dont say anything.
If someone offers me $1500 for the car I will take it, Since thats what I paid for it. They just dont get the New Brake pads, the Car cover or anything else I have bought for the car.
The guy who I was holding the car for offered me $1750 for everything & I was going to take it. But he jerked me around for the last 2 1/2months. I just need it off my place.
If no one wants it I will have a tow truck come get it & Crush the car.
Oh this is what the car suppost to look like.

OneFlyn95z28 04-15-2004, 11:32 PM LMFAO!
Glad to see nothing has changed in the arogant ass hole department around here.
I personaly hate the 70-73 cars. 3rd gens are my favorite and I still miss my IROC. it took me years to like my 4th gen half as much as my IROC. My IROC was not fast or as well built as my 4th gen but it was sexy as hell and pulled in women from every corner. First time I met my wife I was driving it.
My forth gen is nasty as hell and most of you have been chasing after it for years. You can talk **** and call names with the best of them but when push comes to shove it crosses the line first with out fail.
on the other hand I may be looking for a 90-91 IROC to drop my EFI 427 SBC in because I like the look better.
Between Steph and I we have had 9 Camaros from two 67s to four 95s. My first was a 74 Z28 and My favorite was a 88 IROC.
Insulting someone because you did not like the years they like or are going to miss when it is sold? Just anouther loud mouth jack ass looking for attention...but totally predictable from this gruop.
enjoy guys. I might check in again next week. this is the reason I do not check in every day any more
krazzycowgirl 04-16-2004, 12:14 AM Come on Ellis ya need this Car come one buy it buy it. Heck I know you would take care of the car.
Theres was a 1LE B4C (police intercepion Package) car in the Autotrader. I will look up the ling in the next day or so if ya want.
