Well, I went to see the boys over at New Englands Premier Dyno and Tuning facility last night.;) That would be New England Dyno and Tuning of course ;)
After seeing Mark C's 03 Cobra churn out 600.1 RWHP, we strapped "The Tomato" down and started to do some tuning.
It was beyond rich with the base tuneup:rolleyes: I had (it pegged the A/F ratio at 9.19) and still made 481 RWHP. Of course some jackass had to bust my balls and tell me it only made 350 rwhp and man was I pissed:eek:
We leaned it out and managed to get a few more ponies out of it while still being rich as hell and very conservative on the timing (22*).
It made 540 / 545 and still has a ways to go on tuning but we ran out of time as it was getting late.
It did make some progress and the important things to note are that it....
A) didn't eat any more blower belts at $75 each (thanks go out to SD Concepts in Rhode Island for that;))
B) didn't blow up :D
C) drove home under it's own power
D) made more power when I left vs. when I arrived.
I'll keep you guys posted when I go back and we do the final tune on it.
I do need to take the car off the road and send the Vigilante torque converter back as it is loose as hell (flashes to well over 4k). It worked great as a 2800 stall when it was making 400 rwhp but now that it is making more power it is out of control.
Thanks again to Dyno Dean and Rob for taking care of me.
Definatly the place to go when you need to thow your car on the rollers.
