How do you like your spec III? I've heard mixed reviews. Does it chatter? Can you slip it if you wanted to, or is it too grabby (like in or out and nothing in between)

Congrats on the times! Is that on a nitto or a slick? Stock gear? what did you launch at?

Saw your car there. Nice time, I can't launch my car for crap (same tires.) I roasted them so bad, 2.2 60s. I seriously need a lesson in driving the first 60' lol. I wasn't doing so hot. I ended up going home early. Got a whole 5 runs in before my night went to crap. My passenger collector off the header where it bolts to the y-pipe decided to lose a bolt and have a nut come off another bolt. It was almost like running 1/2 open headers, except it was more like a giant exhaust leak. lol I was running horrible, although my times were coming down.

The last 3 runs I had were 13.95, 13.90, 13.88. If the exhaust would have stayed together I think I could have gotten the car felt out. It was my first time at the track with the 4.10s

My best 60' was 2.2xx on street tires, my car ran like crap because of wheel spin, not so fun =\
I did get 10 runs in, what pisses me off about milan is the let the FWD cars run right thru the water box and they just make it all slick, my times kept getting worse and worse

I have seen so many people do that.It still makes me ROFL everytime I see it :D

Traction was terrible there yesterday, my 60ft's were horrible

I like the clutch it only chatterd at 1st , its a lot bette rnow. Its by no means too grabby. it was on nittos yes to stock gear and about 2500rpms

That was me ...and btw some of us FWD cars need to actually use the water box ;) ...but I know what your talkin about, the guys that just pull through there and get everything wet, some of those guys are RWD too

I pull around the water box and than back in it so i dont run water the the line.

Mavaricki18 I see that you recently installed spec clutch me to. I 70 miles into my break in and clutch is chattering a little bit when I go to take off. How long did the chattering go on with yours, sorry to change the subject but reading about the spec clutch sparked my intrest. Thanx for info ahead of time, and hope to see you guys at milan when my break in is over.

The chattering went away tward the end of the 400 mile break in (which by the way seamed like it was 4,000 miles) it still chatters a tiny bit. i just wish i would have got the Mcleod adjustable master cylnder. My clutch engages at the very top.

did you do the clutch install yourself?

Yeah, I realize some of you FWD'ers need to go through it like that, but there are some real dummies just driving on thru, ugh.

Yes i installed it all my self and a little help from some of my friends in aut shop. A lift makes it real easy:D .

My best was 12.70@109.19 with a 2.02 60ft on Nitto Drags, when I was at Norwalk and Ubly last year I cut 1.90 60fts no problem, I didn't even need the waterbox, Im probably going to switch to an ET Street try to get some 1.8's
