I have a 1995 TA. It has the 10 speaker system but this is not the monsoon. THey didnt offer monsoon until 1997.

I know what size speakers I need, in the different locations, but just wondered what you guys thought.

I am replacing my front speaker first. THey are both blown now, so that is just my first step.

Now, I am not a really big stereo guy. I just want to replace my stock speakers, but since I am paying money to replace them I do want them to sound better then stock. But I dont want to do any modifications if I can help it to my stock speaker brackets. And I am not interested in upgrading my headunit or adding an amp. I know most of you guys are probably thinking, dude why even bother :) haha. But I just am tired of hearing a buzz on one side and no treble on the other (tweeter gone on one side as well)

I just wnat simple/ easy/ inexpensive set up.

So would you guys go with a component setup in the front location, or a 3 way speakers? Since this is the 10 spkr system, I do have the bulged out area with the speaker and then the tweeter moutned above it. Since I have that I consider using the components. But if 3 ways will sound just as good, then I will go that route as it will be easier (not having to find a way to mount the tweeter, and locate the crossover).

I just want to make sure that what I spend my money on I will be happy.

Thanks for any info

Jason

I just put in new 6.5" speakers in my doors 2 days ago. They sound very good. Cost $100 for the pair. They are Sony 3-ways, but I'm not sure the exact name. Did not take long to put in once I got the damn door taken apart. It was my first time taking the door apart like that so I didn't really know what I was doing lol. If you want to just replace the spearks, I wouldn't worry about getting a component.
