Which would flow more air into a carburated C4 corvette engine compartment?
1. Cowl induction with a hood scoop with the back open on it.
or
2. Ram air, with the front of a hood scoop cut out to flow air in like ram air?
I need to know tonight so any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

#2 is a airgrab'n force feed when ever in forward travel.

#1 relies on high pressure building up and rolling itself into the cowl. MPH is needed for this action to happen. #1 being open at the rear of a hood is also known to create underhood pressures that can cause your temp to run higher on the motor due to the fan having to deal with a force working againt it.

I'd go #2

Thanks Hot Rod Hawk. I am leaning toward the ram air with the front of the scoop inlet for air.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

forward facing scoop for function, rearward facing scoop for better looks on your car IMO. did that guy give you a refund or what john?

C5west agreed to take back their crappy product. I'm going to install the Greenwood hood scoop which is perfect compared to the previous companies.
