Can I put different wax over Zaino and still excpect it to layer.

I was considering trying the new Meguiars wax. I have manyh a coats of Zaino on the car. Now I was wondering if I could just try the Meguiars over the Zaino and still expect the Zaino to layer like it normally does or do I have to re wash the car with dish soap and start from scratch??

Layering of Zaino is a moot point if you put NXT on top of Zaino as NXT is a cleaner wax and according to a Meguiars rep contains specialized fine abrasives thereby removing any and all Zaino present on the surface, once more when the NXT is on the surface the Zaino will not bond nor layer.....
