Definitely watch out. It's a common scam lately on Ebay to post something like that, that's way too good to be true. They only do it in hopes of getting credit card or account numbers.

Sorry, I read in the post "you are bidding on ... " so I assumed it was an ebay deal. you know what they say when you assume!

Sounds to good to be true... but I remember hearing a rumor about an angry wife that sold her hubbys 75 corvette for $50.00! so you never know. Or somebody could need money REAL BAD!!

Hope it works out for ya'

Good luck

FWIW, that 69 Camaro originally came with a 6-cylinder. The engine decodes to a 375HP 396 cid out of a 69 Chevelle. (Hey at least the engine is a "real" SS. ;) )

The price is rediculously low. 67-69 Convertible big block clones in that condition are typically going for well over $20-25K.

Don't expect to get more than 8-10 mpg with that badboy. :D

I have to go to work and school everyday....just with that alone (and i drive alot more) thats about 40 miles a day....thats 10 dollars a day for that....and i drive about 20 more so thats 15 dollars a day for gas.......thats alot of money man......(assuming 10 miles per gallon) I am 18 so i dont have that kinda cash......it will be my primary car so its not like i can just use it for cruising....your right though...if it wasnt for gas i would get it in a heartbeat, even though i dont think its for real. the guy doesnt answer emails or pick up hpone calls

Have you called on the car? I guarranty $5,600 is either a misprint or just to stir up interest. That car is worth a lot more than that.

well i emailed the guy cause i thought the deal was too good to be true as well, this is what i got back from them, could be a scam?? i dont know:

Hello,

I bought this car from US and it was drive only within US . It was registrated
in US and I had all the services done there.I took care of it like it was my own
baby and now is in the same condition as it was when I bought it - even better!.

The thing is that almost 5 months ago, I made that step - I got married !!! My wife is from CZECHIA and we decided to move there.
Yes, I brought the camaro here in CZECHIA . I wanted to register the car here, but I found out how much paper work I must do to register it here.I had made this
decision to sell the car faster only for $5600 US. I only do this beause i´m
in bad need of money to pay some bank debts and i need to get the money very
quick .Along with the car, I will send you all the documents that I have for the
camaro- the title (wich is issued in US, is clear of any leins and I have it in
hand) and all the recipts from services.

All i need from you is to make a $3500 US deposit up front through Western Union
( i have an Western Union agent location next to me here in
CZECHIA ) and the rest of the money you will pay me after you receive the car.I asked you money up front for shipping and insurance.

But if you're not satisfyed with my first proposal you can wire the amount to my adress from CZECHIA and use as a receiver your wife's name, or your brother's name
and in this way, the money will stay in Western Union until you'll receive the
car. After I'll verify the transfer on the website, I'll immediatly ship the
car to you.Only after you'll receive it and inspect it, you'll change that name
with mine so i can pick up the money. The change of names will be made over the
phone and no extra costs.
Let me know if we have a deal.

Looking forward to hear from you soon.

Best Regards,
My details:
First name: SELMA
Last name:MENDYK
Kolbenova 15
Praha 9,CZECHIA

P.S I will ship the car
via Lufthansa Airplane Cargo insured and it will take 72 hours until
you will have it at your door. The shipping is free because i work for this company.

ATTENTION: i do not know if this is a scam of not and I appologise to the owner of the car but i just wanted people to know

THERE IS NO WAY TO TRACK YOUR MONEY WITH WESTERN UNION

Western Union should only be used with family, close friends that you trust 100% becuase they keep no documentation so you cannot make a claim if your money is taken and you don't get the car

To the Owner of the Car. I suggest offering a well known escro service if you are not a scammer to make people feel more confortable.

heres what i got back from him when i told him i wasnt comfortable with just sending the money and asked for more pics, which he did of the car:

Look what I can do for you:
- you will make the transfer to my location but not to my name(you
will use your best friends name for example as receiver's name)so you
can be sure that I will not pick up the money until you get the car;
so you make a deposit at Western Union and you will give me the
transfer's details (SENDER'S NAME AND ADDRESS, RECEIVER'S NAME, MTCN)
so I can check that the deposit was made. After I verify it I will
send you the car immediately.
- only after you will receive the car and check it if it OK you will
have to change the receiver's name of the transfer to my name so I
can collect my money. So until you will have the car in your hands
the money will be deposited on your best friend's name at Western
Union Agency. I think it is better to not inform Western Union that
you
will change the receivers name in a few days because it is possible
they ask you to pay the fees twice (fees that are quite big for such
an amount),also when you go to an Western Union office to make the
transfer, please don't tell there the reason for you send the money
because here in this country I must pay some additional taxes when I
receive the funds.
Please say you send the money to your friends or to your partner.
My old buyers of course make the transfer at Western Union direct to
my name which is easier and I will be happy if you can trust in me
but because it is our first deal I proposed you this very safe and
efficient method so you can only deposit the money first and after
you get the car to allowed me to cash it.

Thanks for checking it out....In my opinion I could make a fake ID extremely easy for $5,600 dollars. I am a music producer and buy alot of equipment online and I have never been scammed becuase I make sure everything can be traced if dealing direct or if you are not sure but still want the product then use an escrow service....to me this guy sounds pretty shady and I personaly would not even think about it. I don't know alot about Camaro's but i do know alot about buying and selling over the net. The only reason why I was considering this deal is becuase he "lived" about an hour and a half away....to me its not worth the downpayment to find out if he is honest and I suggest people be wary....thanks for your help though
