Well I finally got my car dynoed today and I'm making 15-20 rwhp less than what I was hoping for.
http://www.geocities.com/greasemunkeey/Dyno.html
Best horsepower was 327 and best torque was 352. Most stock headed but cammed LT1s seem to be making around 340rwhp and higher. I'm using a fairly mild cam anyway, TPIS ZZ-409 and I have a bad exhaust setup. Air/fuel ratio was dead on, so thumbs up to Bryan Herter at PCMforless.com. And my HP rating isn't that bad for my 1/4 mile times considering I'm using an M6
Oh well, its time for me to throw on those heads and a 230/236 cam
yea, that is terrible! My 245ish will kick your arse! :p I wish mine was higher, but any more and I am sure my tranny will be shot! Time for a 6speed swap once I get the money together, hopefully next summer! Good luck with tunning your car. :metal:

thats not too bad considering you have stock heads, im also thinking of swapping in a new cam and heads this winter, but we'll see what happens:confused:

Dude, quit your whining :) Those look great to me. I understand all too well what it's like to be disappointed in the performance of your ride.
On the bright side, 327 at the wheels is more like 370-380 at the flywheel, and considering the stock heads, intake manifold, and short block, that's pretty good :)
Also, I've never raced a dyno, and 12.60's on a radial tired street car speaks more than rear wheel hp to me, and most Mustangs.
Anyway, I hope you reach your goals...even though you've surpassed mine.

I dunno, I know of a few people with stock headed, cammed LS1s in my club. They all put down about 330ish rwhp....
Looks right on to me:)

I bet a better y-pipe will give you 10+ rwhp.
That guy had a clean Z28 there last night.

The problem is you never dyno as much as you were hoping for. I was hoping for 340 rwhp and now my car all of a sudden doesn't feel that fast anymore. Its all in my head I know.
To get 340 rwhp isn't that hard for me, parts of my y-pipe coming off the LTs have been crushed down to under 2". "Performance" was the last thing on the mind of the guy who made my y-pipe. Plus I can gain a little bit more by getting rid of my flowmaster muffler and getting something like a borla cat-back. However I'll wait until I do my heads and better cam before I fix all that.
I want 400rwhp next year but I'll settle for 380rwhp which means I dyno 360rwhp:(

i know exactly how you feel, last spring when i got my car dynoed i was all excited thinking i was going to make 360rwhp going by what other guys on the board said, well i was almost 20 rwhp less which pissed me off too, once i get the car running right im gonna get it dynoed, im hoping for 360 rwhp this time since i added the meizere, 58mm, bumped up compression and tuning, we'll see what happens though:cool:
