Saw these on www.tirerack.com and they look good but only three reviews so far. Is anyone using them and how are they in the rain, dry, handling, etc.

I just got them to replace my BFG KDWS
which I didn't like. Before those I had KD.

I only put 100-200 miles on the Kuhmos but
I like them better already. They track straight,
handle well, went good in rain the one time I
was out. Basicly so far I'd recommend them.
Price was right-I got them from tirerack.
If I get 2 years out of them I'll buy them again.

I talked to the tirerack guys too, but couldn't
say too much as they just hit the market.
I was kicking around the Yoko AVS db but saved
the money. My main concern was some people
say their Kuhmos flat spot overnight and my car can
sit for days at a time- I haven't heard anything so far,
they have a decent sidewall comparable to the BFG
GForce tires.

I just got these tires, 255/40/17's on my 3rd gen camaro and I love them. Haven't put too many miles on them but they are great. I found they were a lot better in the rain than what I had before but I was coming from 215/65/15's. lol.

i just put a pair of khumo ecsta supras (supposed to be there best perfoming street tire)http://www.treadepot.com/tireswheels.c/orders/index.html
but i think they are the biggest pieces of shi* i have ever put on my car yet! i hate them they suck bad !the price is good and the wet taction is good but when it comes to dry traction they are terrible i had way better traction with my stock bfg's when it came to drag launches, i dont know why or how but the bfg's were a lot better at dry performance.thats just my experience not an opinion hopes that helps.

Mine seem to be fine for my application.
I don't particularly drive hard but jump on
it from time to time. If I were a track guy
I wouldn't have boughten them.

im not a track guy in fact ive never even gone to the track to get timed im mostly just a weekend street racer and for my set up in my car i got to say those tires just straight blow.i mean those tires are good for everyday driving and great for cornering and stuff like that but once you go to wot from a stand still all they do is spin espicially in cold weather .i got to say im not pleased at all with khumo's .

Well when you say drag launches
then say stomp on it from a still
whats the difference from being at
a track or not your doing the same thing.

My point was if I were buying a tire for
exactly what you describe then I would
have picked something else. I bought
them for daily use and recommend them
for daily use.

I just got 4 new one's and so far I love them. They're good for a daily driver that doesn't see the track that much. Kumho stepped up the tread wear on these new tires from the 712's...

For all you guys saying they suck for dry launchs, and in cold weather... what did you think you were getting? Thoses tires have a 420 tread ware rating. Considering the avrage street performance tires is around 280-320.. ish... 420 is alot harder rubber... so yeah you should spin all day on dry ground.... just my $.02

I wouldn't say they spin all day, that makes them
sound like a crappy duty tire. I think they are
excellent tires for their catagoy: all season
Yes of course they aren't going to give you
BFG KD or Mich Pilot Grip but they will let you drive
with confidence on wet and not track/wonder the car
all over the place WHILE giving more agility than you'll
ever need on the street even at double the speed limit.

Like I posted above, If I were buying tires STRICTLY for
autoX or drag where I was going all out and pushing the
limits, I'd buy something else.

I actually commented today about how good there are
and It's good that I can get a quality set of tires in SS
size for right around 500/set. You get more than you
pay for with these tires.

well put, they are awesome for all season, just don't go buying these looking for great street performance(in dry weather). http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebrand=BFGoodrich&tiremodel=G-Force+T%2FA%AE+KDWS
These BFGoodrich G-Force T/AŽ KDWS Tires are the same way

Don't forget that tire wear grading is complete BS.
Ask anyone in the business. Companies can basicaly
list anything they choose. They act like there is some
uniform standard of what equals a certain rating while
this is not the case. As much as I like the ASX, I only
have about 2K on them and it remains to be seen how
they'll last. But so far I like them so much I plan on
buying them again. Hopefully in 2006.;)

Yea for the price of them they are great. If you are looking for the best performing tire you are going to have to spend some money. I got my 255/40/17's for $108 a piece so it was a good deal for me.
