Anyone here planning on attending Milan High School Nationals?

...May1st... or am I the only one that young here? :p

I plan on going with a couple of friends from my school. I havent been to the track yet, and Id like to stay away from it as much as possible in the interest of my clutch (and therefore my wallet), but Ill make an exception for this.

Depends...will there be any hot high school girls there? Maybe I'll pick up phantomta and we'll go cruise for women ;) :lol:

I dont think you will find any hothigh school girls at the drag strip. But just in case i will be thare with all my buddys.
My SS,ws6,mystic cobra just to name a few we will all be in a convoy on the way over thare.

This will be my 2nd year. hopefully, my car is running good by then and have my nitrous hooked up.

Ill be taking my black Z... my friend will have his black 89 IROC 350, and my other friend who might come will have his 95 GT 5 speed, and possibly his dads 425hp 03 cobra :bow: Also another friend might come with his v6 dakota just cause its a lease vehicle ;)

They say you have to be in high school to race. But they dont realy care. Just tell them you go to Sterling Heights Stevenson:D

I went last year. Got there late and only got one time trial in too. Packed with ricers and all that. Probably would have been pretty cool too had me and my buddy stayed but his stangwas havin charging issues, thats what caused us to be late lol.

oh that was you. Im the guy in the black Z you talked to behind your car in the staging lanes. I ran a 14.5... but I was trying to be easy on my clutch, and my shifting was about my worst ever. ...Not to mention the cooler and all the other debris in my car. I guess im happy with my time, cause I know it/I can do a lot better. It was my first time, so I cant really expect to drive like an expert. I can knock .5 off my ET by simply working on my reaction time. So Id say a 13.8 or 13.9 is very possible for me :)

Reaction time has no effect on ET. Get some good sticky tires and a better launch. If you can get your 60' time down to 1.9 or so you should be in the 13s or damn close.

I was there with a Grand National and the Dodge Ram Hemi.
I ended up bring runner up in the truck in bracket 3 and made it 4 rounds into bracket 1 with the GN. Not a bad day.

I didnt really care for bracket racing so I just upped my Nitrous shot to 75 shot from 50 shot and lost.

Heres what I ran with 75 shot and a heavy ass subwoofer/amp in the trunk.

I wouldve probably have done alot better if I couldve got traction and didnt have the subs and amp in the back.

Who were the winners? Didnt go, my fuel pump died, and with bracket racing the slowest car wins anyways ;)...

I wouldnt even need that... I had my tires aired up to 37psi so they would be more forgiving on my clutch. Thats just more 10ths I could easily lose:thumb: and I must say, im surprised my 60's were as good as they were with 37psi street tires.

Or just go to a new track... gained a full 1/2 second by doing the !milan mod.
