convert from 93-99 steering wheel to 2000+ for radio controls?

is there any way to put steering wheel radio controls into my 1999 camaro SS? do you have to convert to the newer style steering wheel? how difficult is this?

I am in the process of doing this to my 97 Z28 and its proving to be alittle more difficult than I expected. The steering wheel had no problems mounting okay, the horn plugs right in. Your airbag will not be functional any more and you will have to remove the light from behind the dash, or look at the light. The coil right behind the steering wheel located inside the column itself will have to be modified if not replaced. I would suggest trying to find a complete column to replace yours, I've seen them go on Ebay for as low as $50.
