What brand were you looking at? A NOS sportsman fogger kit is ~$650 (that is what I got). Add to that an intake manifold, fuel system and plumbing, you should be right around your $1500 dollar budget. That assumes you can install it yourself. There should not be anything difficult about the install. I paid $325 for to have bungs welded and tapped on an Lt1 intake manifold. The guy was a friend of my dad's and he is great with a tig welder. I am not going to be using the manifold right now ( I am going with a dual stage kit sprayed before the TB). I might be willing to sell the manifold if you need it (for less than what I paid).

I didn't mean to start a for sale post but I can send picture to you later
How does this Gemini kit work as a dual stage direct port system? Is it using 16 nozzles? If so, you have a ton of plumbing to do.
If you are going to be running a N2O only fuel system, you should plan on spending at least $500 on that. I don't know what other accesories you were wanting (ie: bottle heater, purge, sindow switch, upgraded ignition w/ retard, any gauges etc) but if you have already spent $900 you are going to have trouble finishing up for less than $1500.

If I were you and I wanted to do direct port, i would have a stand-alone fuel cell and pump for the nitrous setup. You can get a custom tank mounted where the battery is. This would allow you to run pump gas in your tank and race fuel in the other tank. Depending on how much you spray, you should be ok without any retard if you use 109+ mixed with the nitrous. It would be a cleaner system because you wouldnt rely on a single pump to supply gas to both.
This setup can get kinda pricey with the custom tank, pump, regulator, lines, and connectors... but in my opinion, it is well worth it. Im planning almost this exact setup, the only thing im not sure about would be the fuel pump.
Does anyone know if you would leave the pump on all the time or have some activation switch?

I am staying with a stand alone fuel cell on my setup but I am holding off on the direcct port.
There is no reason to leave the pump running all of the time. Just wire it to come on with your arming switch (through a relay of course).
I will send e-mails to the the people who wanted them later tonight.

Are you sure you know what you are getting? I have never used NX stuff but the only "gemini" kit I could find was not a direct port kit. The gemini kit looks like it replaces the MAF ends with ones that will accept a fogger nozzle (or maybe a spray bar, I couldn't tell). A direct port system uses one fogger nozzle per cylinder (8 in our case or 16 if you wnat dual stage, but I have never seen this on an lt1).
If the gemini kit gets its fuel from the fuel rail (it looks like it does, but I don't have any experience with it) you should easily be able to finish it up for less than $1500.

If you want some good info on NX stuff, here is a good site. It has almost their whole line, and it is well organized.
