how many volts from remote wire?

Anyone know how many volts a remote wire should be sending to the amp? I am trying to see if the remote wire has been grounded somewhere?

12V. You can subsitute the power antenna wire or even the ign wire if need be. But then the amps will be on every time the car is running.
