I have a 91 Firebird with a 700R4 and was wondering if this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=63692&item=2471235408&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT) would fit it. Seems like it would but anyone know for sure?

Im pretty sure after 84 1/2 when the 700R4s went to 30 spline they use the same convertor all the way up to the LS1 autos. SO it should fit.

If anyone has any different opinions, please speak up before the auction ends. TIA

If you wanna be absolutely sure why dont you go to Precision Industries site, and look up the convertor Im sure it will tell you for sure.

A local guy has a used Yank converter out of a 95TA in his 87 IROC, so I know it will work.
All 85 and later 30 spline torque converter are the same up to 97. LS1 cars use a different converter. So yes, it will work.

If it worked on an LT1 it will work for your car. I got mine from an LT1 owner also. Not at that good of a price! I paid 500 or 550! 3500 would have worked better for me too...!
