burnout04 04-02-2004, 10:54 PM Just got a BG induction service done, then I got a new fuel filter, so total were talkin like 150 bux, and my engine is running so much better. My car has 68k miles on it, and the throttle response is so much better, its so much easier to break the tires loose, and it revs so much more smoothly. I highly recommend this. Plus its a great way to make ur engine last longer if u ask me. Anyways true 150 will get u a ftra ram air or maf, but those wont do u any good if ur engine is gunked up or worse, not running in the future. Great preventative maintance, plus u get some nice performance out of them as well, it felt as good if not better as when i added my high flow lid.
teke184 04-07-2004, 02:07 PM what the hell is a BG induction service?
never heard of it...i bet i can do the same thing with 2 cans of Seafoam and a can of DeepCreep...total $25 and a half hour of time.
Aeromaks 04-07-2004, 05:40 PM yeah, what exactly are we talking about here? I just bought 2 cans of seafoam, about $6 each, about to use it tomorrow or something.
spoetzel 04-07-2004, 06:19 PM i agree with teke on this one....has anyone heard of this BGF induction... and what exactily can that do that seafoam doesnt
spoetzel 04-07-2004, 06:27 PM me and a few buddys were talking about the best method of using seafoam and deepcreep
we all just followed the directions:
and 1/3 can seafoam until engine stalls wait 15 mins and start engine
but one of the guys was talking about adding 1/3 like we all had and the adding the rest into the engine through the oil spout and then add another half can into the gas tank with a quarter to half tank of gas
what method has worked best for yall?????

Dont stick it in your oil unless your going to drain it after 10 minutes of running. That stuff isn't good for your oil system
CscottsSS 04-07-2004, 09:48 PM Is a BG induction the same as a Motorvac Carbonclean. I am about to do a Motorvac on my T/A. My dad did one on his 120K Silverado and he claims it runs just as good as when he drove it off the dealers lot.
97LT1F-Body 04-07-2004, 10:10 PM Hey, Im curious too... still waiting for you to reply to us. What is a BG induction service?
iiiezekieliii 04-08-2004, 02:08 AM where do you get seafoam? i tried autozone and pepboys and both dont have it

My local Napas both have it.
jawzforlife 04-08-2004, 09:58 AM What does sea foam and deepcreep do??
Also can I do this "BG" thing on a 1991 TBI 305 camaro?? (If I can ever figure out what it is)
teke184 04-08-2004, 11:31 AM basically with seafoam you suck it into your engine, typically through a brake vacumn line, and let it sit and saturate the cylinders. it disolves the carbon and grim build up and then after 15 min or so you start the car and rev it up. the car will smoke like it's on fire and it will spit all that disolved crap out.
deep creep basically is the same thing but designed for the upper intake, instead of the cylinders/pistons.
it works great, is only like $6 a NAPA and its easy.
i did it on my 96 and noticed a bit more crisp throttle response
jawzforlife 04-08-2004, 12:25 PM I'll have to get me some of that.
locosteelersfan 04-10-2004, 06:41 PM BG is a brand name I see at alot of
gas station/service centers(sunocos). Its may be
a geographical name but its fuel injector
cleaning. I don't know the whole process
but it runs cleaner through that can't go through
directly cause you can't put in the gas tank and
run it-you guys know what I'm talking about.
I've seen "BG raditor flush" too
SWINGRRR 04-11-2004, 01:29 AM Obscure, but hey, whats not.

97WS6SCharged 04-11-2004, 02:07 AM Sounds like a seriouis fuel injector cleaner to me. Like they can do in a shop and charge you $80 bucks to do it. :)
gav'spurplez 04-11-2004, 02:59 AM In my service dept. we sell a fuel injection service and an induction service. Fuel injection is a pressurized cleaner that gets hooked up to the fuel rail and cleans the injectors. the induction service includes cleaning the throttle body and adding combustion chamber cleaner. :D
Silver 10-07-2004, 09:04 PM I let some morons do BG on my truck once. It's basically Seafoam with a really neat, clear plastic tube included to feed it into a vacuum point (I'm being sarcastic). You get the neat white smoke and all. Seafoam does the exact same thing and you don't have to worry about some punk ruining your car by pouring it into the wrong hole or something. I'm sure you're right in that it did your car good, but you could have came out a lot cheaper by doing it yourself. But, we all gotta learn the first time around....

BG products for those that dont know....:)
MustangEater82 10-07-2004, 10:55 PM I have heard a motorvac is great for the car but I woudl do seafoam first...
