tach needle jumping

My tach needle has recently began jumping, not very much, but jumping while at idle and while driving. It doesn't seem to be hurting anything, but it is very annoying. Any help would be awesome, thanks.

It's normal if its jumping a LITTLE.

But if its all over the tach, it's probably getting a loose connection.

If you notice the engine is running funny, it's probably an ignition problem.

My needle has jumped when I had a bad Plug wires. The Tach works off the ignition so I would make sure you have good plugs and wires.

Could be that the wire to the coil is loose or the wire going to the back of the gauge cluster is loose?
