Never say never
Never say never
Welp, the unthinkable has happened. I'm soon to be "SSless". I was driving home from picking up my kids at school and stopped at the Longwood Texaco. As I was refueling this guy walks over and starts checking it out saying how he'd never seen an orange SS vert before. I told him how there were only 41 6 speeds and 46 automatic SOM SS convertibles built in 2002 and he was all googly eyed and drooling. He said he used to have an Orange 2000 SS but it got hit by someone running a red light last year. It was Tboned in the passenger door and totaled out.
He asked if it might be up for sale (he was in love). Of course I said it wasn't but he kept on and on about how everything had a price. Eventually he offered me $35,000 which was more than I paid for it new and I really had a hard time saying no. Especially with my current financial issues that accompany those without jobs… So I caved in. He followed me home and gave me $300 from the ATM to let me know he was serious. I'll still have it for tonight but I'll hand off the keys tomorrow after we get all the banking details worked out.
At least I'm not gonna have to replace that clutch now! lol
I'm sad and happy at the same time. I don't want to loose my baby but I guess I'll take the cash I'll get and buy a Miata and supercharge it. That ought to work okay. I won't have that car payment every month either.
Now for the big question:
Will I be allowed to attend the MCO shows with a supercharged Miata? It'll have muscle and rear wheel drive, just unfortunately a Mazda nameplate. Hmmm

Cant beat getin back more than you paid, like renting one for a long time and only payin gas, then the rental place paying you to get it back.

If you know me at all, you gotta know it means too much to me to sell it. I was just messin'.
I'd have to be out of money, crippled and going on my 3rd day of not eating. Thanks for playing along.

Believe it or not, that's what I would get if I didn't have the SS. Some of us here are in Martin Sports Car Club. Our Vice Pres has one and it's pure evil. Small to fit through tight spots, rear wheel drive for purist driving pleasure, power to weight ratio that excedes a Z06 and it could be done for under 10 grand.
BTW - There weren't any hoaxes on here yet so I had to do it.
