For those who are like me and researching on cams the May issue of Chevy Hi Performance is a must. The issue has 3 articles on cams.

Dyno Test: Lobe Separation Angle Secrets
How to Choose the Right Cam
Cams for Computer Cars
Cam Basics

Also Bulletproof Six-Speed Tricks

Last month's Car Craft had a pretty good article on camshafts, also.

I did see that issue, but to be honest I don't really know too much about choosing a cam for a basically stock a4 ls1... I was wondering if anyone can reccomend a good cam and describe setup that they have bought for an LS1.

Same issue has an article on making the 10 bolt stronger.
Moser has some input for the article.

Yea, I read that... although I kinda find it hard to believe.

I really dont think a 10 bolt can take 400hp behind a six speed.

yea i doubt a 10-bolt can be made to hold up behind a T-56, but for that RS 305 they rebuilt it for, it should be stong enough.

Good issue...

I've been thinking of getting the LT4 hotcam kit... but the kit only includes like the rocker arms, springs, and valve pieces.... do I just use the existing lifters and valves?

Yes.
