Some more info might help. Such as does your car get to stay in the garage, what kind of climate does it stay in, whant kind of wather hits it.

Gold Class normally last between 3 to 6 weeks from what I've seen here. A lot of people here are Zaino Addicts, so they would wax everyother day if they can cus it builds up. But thats not the case with the Gold Class. I'd just wax it once a moth and see how you like it.

Hehe...you still use GC.

It all depends on which wax your using. Normally I wait about 24 hours between coats so as to let the wax cure onto the surface. I'm now using Meg's NXT until I can order in some P21S carnauba wax.

I also "heard" that the NXT wash is really good and doesn't remove wax off your finish...I have yet to try it out.

It's only recommened to use Zaino twice a year. The stuff really does last. It is possible to put many coats of Zaino on, because of it's composition. You can put layer after layer on. People found out that with each coat the gloss and protection gets better and better.

Do not use dish washing liquid. I'd think any commercial car wash soap will not remove polish/wax.

Whenever you see the water NOT beading on the surface it may be time to wax again. If you are using a cleaner wax like Meguiars NXT with each coat you will remove the previous coat. Using a detailer spray will extend the life of the wax or polish. If you use Gold Class just use any kind of car wash, Meguiars makes several kinds of car wash....

Mother's Non Stripping Car Wash should be every car person's best friend.

How often you wax should really go with your opinion on your car's paint appearance. In reality, if you use a pure wax, you could get away with a few coats (3-5) per year. This of course, has nothing to do with bead quality and slickness, as those qualities of a wax will vary in how long they will last, in which the quality of the wax is a determing factor.

If you use cleaner waxes, and you keep the car well covered, then just use it about three times, then end your wax routine with a pure wax for the finished look and for protection from the elements and excessive dirt and dust.

I wait about 4-5 months between servings.

I religously wax my NBM Z28 once a month with Gold Class. I also wash it 1-2 times a week. The car sits outside now, so the wax will not last as long as when it was in the garage. The water will still bead, but I can tell a difference in the shine after a month.

About once a month is good.

Meguires NXT is a cleaner wax

I just got got done using it twice this week and it certainly doesn't look/feel/apply like one. Since it's polymer based I don't think it can even BE a cleaner "wax."

Hmmm

And if it is, it's strange how the car looks better after every coat...
