I received my C4R hood scoop that I ordered from C5west company and it is rediculous. I have seen many cheap products but this takes the cake. On the advertisement it states that it just needs to be primered painted and stuck on the hood, it even comes with the epoxy. Well when I placed it on my hood it has 1/4 inch gaps between the scoop and the hood, the hood scoop is not straight at all. the back of the hood scoop doesn't even fit, it is too wide for the back part of the hood. This is by far the worst product I have ever bought. The finish on the scoop is horrible, there are seems that need to be sanded down, the front of it isn't even straight! the body shops have estimated $800 just to get a smooth finish on the hood scoop and fiberglass it to the hood with all the work the hood scoop needs to be straight. This was advertised as a simple epoxy project.
The worst part about it is that when I called they said: all sales are final, we can't take returns. This wasn't stated to me before I bought the product! They even told me: yeah, you will probably have to cut and sand the back corners to get it to fit correctly. This is total fraud. They won't even take their crappy product back so now I'm stuck with trying to figure out what to do with it. I would never buy another C5west product again and I highly reccomend that nobody else buy this sorry excuse for a body product.
Anybody do any fiberglass body work on the sides? I'm going to be in for one time consuming project with this thing.
