How would nitrous be on my motor...?

The basics of my motor are in the sig, stock crack and rods but forged blower pistons and total seal rings. I'm running around 6psi of boost right now thru the paxton and soon I'm going to want more power. Would a smaller shot of nitrous, maybe 75 or 100 be *safe* on this motor? I know no power adder like nitrous or a blower is completely safe, but what do you guys thing is my best bet? I'd raise the boost some more, but I'll gernade this blower.

I think you'd gernade the motor if your running stock rods.
Boost+N20+stock internals=

Your suppose to tell me its going to be ok :) I guess I really need to dyno it and see where I'm at on power before I can judge how much more I can add before I break something for sure. New rods doesnt sound like a bad idea ;)

a smaller shot might be fine but when your chargered and n20 the shot size means nothing. If you put in 100shot jets your going to get way more hp increase like 100shot would equal probalbe 175-200 is my guesstamation. so if you threw a 50 shot on I would think you would be okay.

Cool, didnt know the ratings would be that far off with a blower'd car, but I see what you're saying. Hmm, guess I'll get some more miles on this motor before I venture to Nitrous, but I'm sure I'll end up there sooner or later :)

You will potentially see a much bigger improvement in 1/4m. performance than the additional hp from a small shot of nitrous suggests. Blower cars usually run slower than their hp suggests because they are (relatively) weak on the bottom, which is where N2O shines. And a couple of tenths gained at the beginning of the run translates into quite a bit more by the end of the 1/4. So, if you have decent traction you may see a really significant improvement in ET from a 50 or 75hp shot. An example: My combo (very heavy) sees ~0.7 sec improvement in ET with a 70hp shot!

As to will it hold up, I don't know. I agress that the rods may be the weak point though.

Cool, Wish I had used some stronger rods now when I had it apart, grr...Oh well, if I blow it up it just means its a good time to rebuild it :)
