Well, the previous owner of my SS left the carbon fiber headlight covers on there too long, and the film rubbed off onto the lense. It was VERY thick. I got the black color out of it, but it left about an 1/8 film that looked like a haze on the lenses. I wetsanded it down to where it is almost not noticeable unless you are looking for it. I used 3m Swirl Mark Remover to get out the majority of the fine scratches I caused. Anyway, I was told that maybe plastic polish might bring the rest off. I have read here that Meguirs seems to be favored, but I cannot pick up any at a local store it seems. Would Mothers work fine? Any other tips? Thanks!

There are many good plastic polishes on the market, just find some and try it....

being here, I wanted to ask, will regular GE plexiglass homemade lightcovers will turn yellow overtime?

Should I use a buffer to apply this stuff? It doesn't mention to on the bottle, but using the Mothers by hand did nothing for the residue.

The buffer wouldn't be too harsh on something like this would it?

It might be. It's fairly abrasive. I always apply it to my tail-light lenses by hand, and I can feel the abrasiveness of it by how much friction there is. Plus you don't want to get any on your paint, because I'm sure it'll strip off any wax you have on there.
