Even though it seems like there aren't many people over here, I have found that my questions always seem to get answered fairly quickly! That is a very good thing. I also try and do my part.

I don't know if that will ever happen, being that this site in general is geared towards 4th gen Camaros. Just look at the intro screen. Maybe a new main page with an image of all four generations together might help. Or perhaps there is another way of visually including all four generations in this site.

All the second gen guys probably go to nastyz28.com for second gen questions (I know I do)

Hey! That's all that matters. :):)

Yeah, we started the site way back when as a 4th gen Camaro site, but that didn't last long as more people from different car ownerships showed up. We were happy to open it up to all, but we never really managed to shed that "4th gen only" image, I am sorry to say.

Ahh...I am one step ahead of you on that one. This is just the new board, the new site design will be coming soon. It is about 85% done.

Which is a damn fine site.

I hope that the non-4th gen guys/gals know that we will be happy to have them drop by here once in a while too if they need the help and can't seem to find it elsewhere.

I vist both site's(nastz28 and cz28) regularly. I do find cz28 to be more of of 4th gen site ,but that is ok as I own one of each :D .Both site's have a lot of good info and people. My first stop is LT1 tech followed by Classic tech.If it weren't for this site my 94Z might have stayed stock and cost me more money than it has :D .

I always check out the classic section, but, like you said, there aren't a lot of us. I don't really know a lot, but I try to help if I can, although I'm usually the one needing help. Old school for life! How else would you expect to tune your car with a screwdriver? Just the one good thing about carbs I guess...

This forum may move slower than the rest but it has certainly been invaluable to me. I also read nastyz28 but haven't ever posted there.

This forum has some very knowledgeable people. I try and help when I can and its usually first hand experience from building the engine in my 70. Sometimes its 2nd hand info the counter guys told me at the speed shop. I have a pretty good relationship with them since I have been going there for over 2 years:)

I think there's good people and info at several boards, this one included. I enjoy this one for the high tech and forced induction sections. I'm at camaros.net for my first gen stuff, and nastyz28.com for the 2nd gen stuff.

Hopefully you can shed the 4th gen only deal and get a few more of the older Camaro guys over here. The board is well run, but I too thought it catered mostly to the later cars (nothing wrong with that, it was just my opinion!).

Yeah, it's always a slow day at Classic Tech, but I still like it in here.

I just hope the post whores don't invade just to run up their post counts now that posts in the Lounge don't count.

I always check out this part of the board but when I joined this forum, it was mainly to reply to an ad in the for sale.

Like the rest, I came here for my 4th Gen TA. But I will always look in here and answer something if I can.

But, my main site is Performance Years for my 2nd Gen questions.

I came here to check out the third gen stuff after I got my Formula 350. But after I had been here for a month I have been stoping in the Classic section first since I have owned both a 67 and 72 Camaro and now I work on and race a 67 rs Camaro with my family. I try to post when I can and help those when I think I can help or add to another post.

This sight is great, keep up the good work.

There's a lot of mis-information being passed around about the first and 2nd gen Camaros so I try to stop in here whenever I can to try and answer questions. It's a little easier to check for updates and new topics when they don't drop off the page because of tons of posts, so the slow pace can be a good thing.

Isn't that the purpose of taking away the post count in the lounge?? To get people to participate in other forums:confused:?

Well, that's the way I interpreted it anyway:shrug:.

The key words: just to run up their post counts.

I'm sure quality contributions in the tech sections would be welcomed by all.

Let's not get into that issue again.

If people are being post whores, just let me know.

Ahh.

Thank you for the clarification:).

I don't want people to think I came by here to "up" my post count.

After a brief 10 year hiatus, I am getting back into the First Gen restoration scene, now that I have more stable of an income and a place to do it.

Once I dig all my old resources out of mothballs in storage, I'll hopefully be a lot more help around here.

Think about it! ;);)

Hey Guys, Just droped in to see the site.
As i own a 4th gen, yes thats why i joined, but i'v learned alot from pokeing around.
I'm looking for a 70/73 split bumper for a second car,
and we all know how things start.....

PS- they was a post somewhere about which gen camaro you liked the best, and me and some other guy were the only ones for 2nd gens, and i own a 4th.

This forum is VERY valuable to me, as a first gen owner AND an LS1 owner. If this forum were not a part of this site I would not have a resource with as much information about 1st gens AND 4th gens, which is exactly what CZ28.com provides me with, so keep keep up the good work on the Classic Tech forum!!!

BTW, ANYTIME anyone needs help with a 4th-gen to 1st gen swap, just let me know, I'll be happy to help with what i can.

This is what Internet is all about. Sharing information and knowledge among friends that share a common interest. We all benefit from this. Sharing knowledge is what makes mankind progress in evolution.

I participate in a lot of forums in my profession, some are slow and some gets 50 or more messages a day.

As long as we see interesting stuff here people will attend. I think this forum is great and have given me a lot of information.

Thanks everybody and I look forward to the new design.

Let chime in here..I like the fact that we dont have the KIA's like the 4th gen sections..Personally i can think of one DR that seems to post little help in tech sections..

Most of the guys that post help here do it from hands on experence not from word of mouth or magizines..I dont own a camaro nor do i see my self getting one as its just not for me..I dont post about things i dont know and from what i see and have seen i dont have to argue with kia's in this section.Ive worked on and built a lot of F bodys in my life as well as almost everyother car so i keep that in my head for future use..The posters here seem older or maybe i should say more geared towards helping and not trying to get some sort of recognition for being helpful..

Just my 3 cents
