now this was put out a few years ago..but from what is being said it sounds like this might be the car that it mostly resembles..with a few added touches to go with the new info..
thinking that this could be a wonderful mistake of happenstance..this guy creates his version of the 5th gen Camaro...I know its not intended to be..I read the story 3 years ago..but what I am saying is this close to the car....and now his dream comes to life??
I keep drawing that car in my head but with the Nomads fenders on it..
anyone think so??
number77 03-18-2004, 10:36 PM thats odd, cause i know there was speculation that the c6 z06 wheels will look like that.
I like the Third Gen GFX, but the sides are way too flat. The front and rear also need work to look like a Camaro.
Caps94ZODG 03-19-2004, 07:34 AM well the sides would be "Nomaded" to have some flare..
and the front does look like a Camaro..as I have the toy..
GuionM...does this sound possible..the structure looks like what would be what people are looking for..more upright but still sporty..and has heritage cues of all ages...any others can you chime in??
I think that is the best 5th Gen "concept" yet  GM needs to hire the guy that did Muscle Tone
Gripenfelter 03-19-2004, 09:37 AM I still like the Popular Hotrodding one.
But this one isn't bad.
Mutiny32 03-19-2004, 09:49 AM I have one common problem with all of these concepts: the front end is too retro. Sure, it would be a nice car, but I just don't want a 69 with GFX.
91Zman 03-19-2004, 10:58 AM Too retro? That looks very little like the 1stgen RS but yet it is still modern.
I tried morphing a '68 RS to look like the muscle tone but the wheels came out too small.:o
SNEAKY NEIL 03-19-2004, 11:15 AM I like the lines and shape of the car but that front end is too retro. I am sure they could come up with something more modern and still be "Camaro". I would have to say that overall, that is one of my favorite concepts so far...............even though there hasn't been one that has really blown me away.
dream '94 Z28 03-19-2004, 12:37 PM Isn't that the Hot Wheels Muscle Tone car?
It's very 1st gen influenced, IMO very close to being retro. I don't care for the fron tthow, too much or too many grill(s).
I like to see some along that profile and stance with a bit more body sculpting and a more sloping hood and windshield rake.
91Zman 03-19-2004, 02:25 PM Yeah I messed up a little but it came out OK. http://community.webshots.com/photo/20197065/95327915CQUZgh
try it again.. :D
dream '94 Z28 03-19-2004, 03:25 PM linky no worky
91Zman 03-19-2004, 03:50 PM oops try it again..:o
dream '94 Z28 03-19-2004, 03:58 PM I seriously can not get past that front end. just doesn't do anything positive for me....
Take away the double grill, stripes, put a crease in the side, and that will be pretty cool.
HTWLSS 03-19-2004, 06:50 PM I have about a dozen Muscle Tone cars stashed in my Hot Wheels collection.

That looks good but the double grill is wierd. What we're doing here though is still messing with a design that is almost all 1st Gen with a little Third. The open grill thing in these times doesn't do it for me. We came so far, I don't know why it would make sense to go back in that way.
91Zman 03-19-2004, 10:10 PM Yreah you're right about that. When I did the MT design I had liked it a lot but now that I really look at it the grill is a little too big and needed to change, plus not to look too awkward. Oh well,it's a good thing that the concepts in guiom's link look awesome!
It's OK, need alot of work though IMO.
91Zman 03-19-2004, 10:52 PM Yeah it was a rough sketch...very rough lol.Any way in that same link at the top where it says Camaros. In that section I did a few alterations of Kris horton's designs which came out better than that MT one.
I thought you meant the one from C&G. Doh! :)

yes it is the muscle tone camaro..the front end is 1st gen...
From what I remember about the article on the guy who designed it he said he put all the gens on the car..
1st gen front clip
3rd gen hood
1st-3rd-2nd gens respectivly going down the side of the car
2nd 4th gen rooflines
4th gen rear tail ligths..
NOW from what I have read about the actual car EVOK has seen..it needs the Nomads fender flares..can someone do that to the Muscle tone???
also what I am thinking is the headlights might be exposed almost like the GMC Canyon and Colorado..on the top and bottom and hard angled like that...
BUT the bottom ones being the amber marker lights and they are wrap arounds that go almost like the 4th gens front marker light wrap arounds.. that start where the top headlights are..get what I am saying?
so that gets rid of the bottom grill problem and also I think Fog lights will be put in somewhere..corners or center?? if its like the 68 Im betting center mounted..
what I am thinking is for the front end..

Enough with the retro crap and blending older gen's together.
We need an ALL NEW Camaro, but still have the characteristics of the Camaro throughout history. (long wheelbase, "detuned" version of Vette engine, etc.)
I would like it to have the headlights like the C6, but not as expensive looking. Kinda like the Nissan 300ZX headlights.
well what this guy evoq said IS whats comming out..no changing that..what he saw is what the new car is going to be...
