In about two weeks (weather pending) i'll be throwing a set of ported lt1's on my Z. I've never done a head swap and I have two guys from work who said they'd help, but have not much experience. If anyone local is interested in assisting that would be ...great

Never heard of anyone using copper RTV before for intakes. Permatex Grey seems to be the best that I have found for intakes IMO.

>I got it from Brent Frankers when I changed out my intake to cure the dredded "intake manifold leak" I guess the copper won't effect the O2 sensors or something ... no leaks for me

Is the copper high temp? Maybe it helps when the EGR feed tube is still hooked up, bringing a lot of heat to the back of the intake. I think that's what caused the whole intake problem in the first place. Ditch the EGR tube, all set.

Most of your silicones today are O2 sensor-safe.
